A: The latency on this unit will be extremely low, you should not even notice it.

A: This will not support cables that are longer than 50 feet. However HDMI cables in general start to lose quality once you go past 35 feet. For runs of 50 feet and longer we suggest HDMI extenders from companies like KanexPro and Avenview. They will send a signal as far as 300 feet over a Cat6 cable.
