Designed to firmly hold a camera, light fixture, or accessory, this High-Load Friction Arm with Camera Bracket and Super Clamp from DigitalFoto Solution Limited is a versatile grip tool for a variety of applications. The magic arm is a fully articulated arm with 90° pivotable and 360° rotatable ends, and an elbow that rotates 360°. It has 5/8" studs on ball joints at both ends with 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 female threads. For clamping onto bars, poles, tables, desks, and more, this system also includes a clamp with wedge inserts with a jaw range of 0.5 to 2".

A: Yes but not easily. The screw is threadlocked on and once you remove it, it will no longer be a secure hold. You're better off buying the regular 244N of you don't want a bracket, or getting a 244 which comes with the removable bracket, not a quick release.

A: The second product photo here shows each of the two studs has a female threaded end; one slightly larger than the other, so I assume one is a 1/4" female thread, and the other is a 3/8" female thread.

The Magic Arm allows great control over remote camera positioning for my sports photography. Package comes with all accessories necessary to mount my remote camera in a variety of unusual circumstances and positions. Great product for a reasonable price! 5

I needed to take Santa pictures for a school event. Keeping gears to minimum, I wanted something to attach to a light stand. This does the job very well. It is sturdy, and versatile. My concern was about it holding camera well without making me feel it could fall. Platform works well for that. Having one central point to tighten all movement around the arm was really great if I needed to move camera to different position, I could loosen the big nob, move camera to another position and tighten it. It would stay there very securely. Only other feature I wish was there was a quick removal plate on platform. There were time I took camera off the platform and that meant unscrewing it completely. I have only used it once in field but I have no reason to believe it would have any problems in future. 5

I just recently bought two Magic arms for myself, I've used them for years as a newspaper shooter. I use Magic arms to mount lights to bleachers for shooting high-school indoor sports. You really can't beat manfrotto.... There are cheaper options. I prefer these over most anything else and at some point your extra money is just buying you comfort. I'm comfortable using the 244n. They're quick, easy, indestructible, and reliable. Great for mounting pro body cameras and wide angle lenses too for remote setups. 5

holding lights, holding cameras, reinforcing a large 60 inch Varavon slider so I can use just one tripod vs. two.... had it out 5 times since I bought it and have used it for 5 different things. Solid! for cameras I have mounted a d4/50mm 1.4 and even a Sony FS100/Tokina 12-24 from it without issue. I used it to mount a White Lightning X1600 from a rafter and even a large LED light from a tripod leg for video Folds up small and needs no padding or anything (can't see it getting damaged even if I let it roll around in the trunk for years) so it travels wellWish Manfrotto would just get with the times and go with ARCA style pates and clamps as an option for all of the products they offer 5

This is a great product for mounting a dSLR camera pretty much anywhere the clamp can fit. My main use is for mounting on the backboard at basketball games and mounting it in banquet halls and rooms of the sort for weddings. Very sturdy (can hold a dSLR with battery pack no problem) and hardly moves once you tighten it. Definitely recommend this over the other mounting arm without variable friction. The camera mount supports the camera very well because it is long enough to cover most of the surface area of the bottom of the camera. 5
