A: This lens is made for a much smaller format than either full frame Nikon or Sony. Full frame is 24mm x36mm,while micro four thirds is approx. 13mm x18mm sensor size...so no, the lens will not work on a Nikon or Sony camera. As to aperture, it is a ratio of lens opening to lens focal length, so an f 1.2 lens will always be an f 1.2. The only caveat is that when using extension tubes or a bellows between any lens and camera body you will alter the effective working aperture...and have to do an exposure compensation. In today's world with automatic exposure cameras that is not a consideration. As to quality of this lens...superb. Even my full frame leica lenses do not equal the center to edge sharpness of the Nocticron....this lens that makes moving to micro four thirds a worthwhile consideration.
