Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What keeps the ball joints from slipping?

A: The ball joints has spikey "teeth" that helps the joints tighten securely without slipping.

Q: 2. Will this work with a Sony A7iii and an Atomos Ninja V5?

A: yes, the articulating arm will support the payload of the display. But we always highly suggest a roll cage for extra stability.

Q: 3. I ordered this 2 weeks ago Why is it taking so long for this specific item to be shipped??

A: I apologize, but this type of request cannot be taken care of through this feature of our website. Please contact our Customer Service department by entering Live Chat, emailing directly to cs@a href= http://bhphoto.com, target= _blank bhphoto.com,/a or calling us toll-free at 800.221.5743.

Q: 4. Do both ends pivot? In other words, does the quarter inch screw part of the arm have to stick out parallel/in-line with the arm, or can it swivel around similar to how a tri-pod fluid head can rotate and turn around? Thank you so much for any help!

A: Yes. When you loosen the knob, everything loosens up, including the screws. It is quite flexible. FYI - we also own the Ikan version of this unit, and for a few more $ it is better built, I think. One of our Delvs broke; our Ikans seem to be holding up better.

Q: 5. Compatable on zacuto gratical x micro oled evf-dr asok

A: This articulating arm has a 1/4 screw so it will fit any video assistant that has that standard mounting female screw.

Q: 6. I'm using the Pearstone 4.2 (10.7cm) Articulating Arm to mount a Tascam dr70 onto a Sony a7S Camera Rig ES-T16. I have mounted a video light and external monitor to the 2 shoe mounts. I don't see a way to mount the Tascam into one of the holes in the cage without having to turn the whole arm (rather than being able to tighten the knob to secure the male end of the screw into the hole). What am I missing? thanks!

A: You have it right. You have to turn the whole arm into the screw hole, tighten it, then adjust the arm using the large knob.

Q: 7. Can the ends be rotated?

A: Yes, when the SmallRig Articulating Arm is not locked the 1/4"-20 end can be rotated.

Q: 8. Can I use this arm with a Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp? I am attaching a FeelWorld L7 7" monitor.

A: Yes, the CAMVATE 11" Articulating Arm would have a 1/4-20 screw attachment that could work with a Manfrotto SuperClamp. However, there is another Camvate arm with clamp included: CAMVATE Crab Clamp with Magic Arm (Upgraded Locking Lever) BH #CAC2791 - https://bhpho.to/3J6LZw3

Q: 9. Does the red knob tighten the end joints as well as the middle one?

A: Yes, the red wing nut tightens all of the joints on the CAMVATE 11" Articulating Arm.

Q: 10. How do you attach this to a camera jib to be able to use it for a monitor?

A: If the jib has a cold/hot shoe mount or a female 1/4 20 thread you are set. Otherwise you will probably have to use a clamp or something.

If you want the ultimate package with your rog monitor, there is no better option. Fits the aesthetic perfectly and is top quality. Moves and stays where you want when you want. Only downside is i wish it could fit thicker desks but most dont. Thats not really the arms problem though. Its made of strong quality materials and again, it just looks so cool with the pg32ucdm.

I've had my pico dolly for a few months but I didn't have an arm for it. While I could get some nice shots I didn't have full control till I bought this. Its amazing how powerful one small dolly can be. I arm also has a sturdy hot shoe mount that comes in handy.
