A: Each end of the cross bar is suitable to fit over a 5/8" stud, even the studs on a C-stand which are the same size. We have not heard any plans of this product being discontinued on the manufacturer's end.

Q: 3. Does the support rod slides out if there is no Y shape support attached to one end? Can people easily lose the center rod?

A: Yes it would slide out.

Q: 4. Hi, what is the minimum focusing distance of the adapter? does it have a filter tray to put 4x4 filters on it? Thanks.

A: The minimum focus distance is about 1' and it is possible to use 4x4 or P size filters, you would need the filter tray made for this by Letus

A: Yes, The SHAPE Universal Lens Support Pro has a minimum supported distance of 1.1cm The minimum height is actually 1.1 cm, meaning the silver tube is all the way down inside the rod bracket, only the ¼-20 thread is above the rod bracket opening. Also, The whole lens support can be installed upside down by the way for even more clearance.

Most product warranties usually aren't worth getting. That's also true of AppleCare for things like iPods and iPhones, where it's arguably better to put the money towards the latest model instead. With iMacs, though, the replacement/repair cost is high enough that a single incident makes this worth it. Other than sketchy auction sellers, B&H has one of the lowest prices for this. 5
