If you are willing to put a slightly larger scope on your rifle, the 3-18x56i SPECTRA 6X Riflescope from GPO USA will give you the capabilities you need for any shooting situation. The DoubleHD 56mm objective makes the optical image brilliantly sharp in lowest-light shooting scenarios while the 18x magnification reveals distant details. The scope comes standard with an illuminated ballistic BRi reticle with iCONTROL illumination technology. Also featured are iCONTROL illumination and PASSIONtrac turrets to assist your shooting scenario. The turrets, designed for 0.1 MRAD or 0.36" impact point correction at 100 yards, provide 90" of adjustment range.

GPObright is a proprietary coating process that maximizes light transmission through each surface of an optical element. As light hits an optical surface, normal uncoated high-performance glass can reflect up to 5% of that light, redirecting this light so it does not transmit through the optical system. However, when these high-performance lenses are vacuum-coated with GPObright lens coatings, up to 99.7% of the available light passes through each optical surface. Furthermore, when every surface of the entire optical system is properly coated, total light transmission can reach up to more than 92%, making the optical image of a GPO binocular or riflescope "bright," even in the lowest light conditions.

A DoubleHD lens is the final product, created when multiple extra-low dispersion lenses are chemically laminated to make a single, multilayer high-performance optical lens. Laminating multiple lenses minimizes light reflection on the surface of multiple lenses, creates enhanced resolution and color contrast images, and minimizes chromatic aberrations. This benefit is clearly visible with all GPO products supporting this feature. This high-performance process is routinely found in the photographic market and with the highest quality photographic lens manufacturers, but has now transitioned into premium sporting optics.

With internal components built from aluminum and brass gearing systems, PASSIONtrac ensures reliable and consistent adjustments when operating the turret. In addition to the high-performance internal components, PASSIONtrac also has a simple turret disengagement feature. This allows the user to reset the turret so the zero-mark located on the turret can align with the zero-indicator mark located on the scope tube body. After sighting in the rifle, the user needs to only lift the turret to disengage the turret threads, rotate the turret to where the zero-mark on the turret is aligned with the zero-indicator mark on the scope body, and gently press the turret down until it clicks into place. This ensures that if the shooter ever needs to make a turret adjustment in the field, they always know where their zero origination began. An additional benefit of PASSIONtrac is its intended use for shooters who regularly dial their turrets. PASSIONtrac turrets are engraved in easy-to-read MIL or MOA markings and follow MIL or MOA point-of-impact adjustments. Shooters can operate this product like a tactical MIL or a hunting long-range MOA turret: dialing, reading, and shooting. Hunters have the advantage of protecting a dial turret with a machined aluminum turret cap.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I own 4 of these and have a shoot coming up where the only power source will be my car. How can I power the Astra from the 12V cigarette lighter?

A: This light is approximately 100w. You will need to check your cars 12v port power rating. Most likely you will need a inverter connected directly to your cars battery. Make sure to check your cars batteries watt hour rating. You will want to make sure not to push it so low as to get stranded. Using a inverter that is at least double the power that you need will give you the best efficiency. For 4x Astras you would want to look at a 1k range inverter.

Q: 2. What v mount battery is best to use for this light.

A: I use the Core SWX 150 batteries... I get anywhere from 6 to 2.5 hours of continuous use with them from 50-100%. Ive used the 98 batteries but they just dont last as much.

Q: 3. What is the output?

A: The following are the photometrics for the Lightpanels Astra 46x Bi-Color Daylight LED Panel:5 ft./1.5m: 614 FC / 6612 LUX10 ft./3m: 154 FC / 1653 LUX15 ft./4.6m: 68 FC / 735 LUX

Q: 4. Do these panels fit in a 1500 series Pelican case?

A: NO, they measure out to be with framing and everything 19 by 16 that's including the side screws and yok. On their website they measure it to be size 17.7 x 16.3 x 5.3, plus you need room to put foam between the case and light itself.

Q: 5. Does this come with barndoors?

A: No the barndoors are a optional accessory there are also honeycombs and softboxes available

Q: 6. What's the output in lumens?

A: This unit is not measured in Lumens. It can produce around 18,000lux at 1m.

Q: 7. Does this come with a strap or harness?

A: A strap is included with the GPO USA 10x50 Passion HD Binocular (Black), and the harness is an option. See below for the items included in the box: GPO USA 10x50 Passion HD Binocular (Black) Lens Cloth Neoprene Neck Strap Hard Carrying Case with Strap One-Piece Ocular Rainguard 2 x Objective Lens Caps Transferable Limited Lifetime Warranty

Q: 8. Is there an option to simply plug these lights in or are they battery powered only?

A: Yes, comes with the power supply.

Q: 9. What is the life span of these lights? I have them in mind for some darker places where I film. They would need to run for 5-6 hours in a row.

A: On LED lights life expectants is over 10000 hours

Q: 10. so does this kit weigh 46lbs packed?

A: Paul, I bought the 2 light kit. This I dont know for the 3 light kit. Also I would suggest you pack the lights in a Storm Case which is a little lighter.
