I've been looking for a low profile bag to carry lenses while shooting, and this bag works very well. It's extremely sturdy and solid, lots of pockets, and larger than I expected. While on a shoot I can carry a Sigma 24-70, SB-700, and my D7000 with a Sigma 70-200 attached. There is also plenty of pockets that keep batteries, SD cards, lens caps, model release forms and business cards handy. The only fault I can find is the lack of a padded shoulder strap.

Have long been a fan of Domke bags, and still own and use a couple that are around 20 years old.. In this case I wanted a bag that would easily accommodate my Olympus M1Mk3 with lens up to size of OLY 12-100mm PRO plus at least 2 additional lenses, and of course various accessories such as spare batteries, memory cards, etc. Room for a laptop or iPad would be a plus. I already own and heavily use the Domke 803. But, it seemed a little tight for this set of gear. The 802 - on the other hand - fits perfectly. It comes without any inserts (and is therefore less expensive than the 803). That required/required me to 'build' the interior to suit specifically my intended use. I purchased from B&H the Domke DA-220 2-lens insert, which fits easily into one end of the bag, and holds 2 of my OLY lenses. It also can hold 2 additional lenses when needed by stacking them with a pad between. This is possible because both the bag and the insert are tall. (The insert can hold tall lenses, but can be a little tight for some lenses as they've grown in girth, particularly with lens hood reversed and attached.) This insert allows room beside it to place the camera and lens up to the length of the OLY 12-100mm f4 Pro horizontally. (I've never liked having to put it vertically nose-down in any shoulder bag.). For additional cushioning under the camera and attached lens, I'm temporarily using a spare internal separator from another FA-220. Fits perfectly length and width. Have a Domke 'Bottom Board' on order. Am not sure if it will fit right; but, if not, the current set up works fine. Lastly, the Domke 802 is a quite different shape than the 803 - seems narrower and taller/wider. Looks more like an atttache than a camera bag. This is good; it's what made my set up work. And, doesn't shout 'camera inside'. Also, this bag seems to have the old-school, heavy duty canvas, which is both but rugged.

I have had bad luck ordering bags online. Every one looks so good in the pictures but disappoints when I get it... except this one. Good bag, not too big, quality and plenty of pockets and room. It has already replaced my pack pack as my new travel companion.

I've used Domke products for the past 30+ years...first for cameras and then the Reporter's Satchel. I'm a writer and am always hauling around files, folders, papers, pen drives, laptop, etc., and this bag performs like no other. I've had my current one for the past 5 years and it works, holds everything, etc., but it's looking tired and I want a new one just because. I really don't need a new one, I just want one if you know what I mean. You can never go wrong with Domke and I like that the bags don't scream cameras, laptop, etc.
