Needed a spare for my E-M1 Mk II and thought about purchasing an aftermarket brand from another vendor, but didn't want the hassle of a possible burn, so decided to get the OEM from B&H. It arrived quickly as promised. Gave it a charge and it works great, no worries. It's marked with a date, so is distinguishable from the one already with the camera. Plus it comes with a good, usable poly storage case unmentioned in the listing.

I just ordered a second battery for the Olympus camera I purchased from B&H earlier this year. Similar to that order, the new battery arrived on time and the order process was very simple. What great customer service!!

This much more substantial than the BLN-1, the battery used in the EM-1. That battery wouldn't leave much of a welt, but you could easily drop this one in a sock and beat someone senseless, then pop the battery back into your EM-1 II and take several good, sharp photos of the bruises, as well as lengthy videos of the recovery process, all before recharging.

Obviously, works fine with the Olympus charger. My experience with the Olympus batteries is that they far outlast less expensive third party equivalents... usually outlast the useful life of the camera(s) they were purchased for.

Consider buying several extra batteries. Especially useful when learning how to use all the new camera features you will burn through a battery quickly. Quoted test results indicated battery lasts for 444 shots but I understand this testing is done with use of flash and a lot of LCD review time. Real life you will probably get many more shoots for each battery.Camera has a very detailed measure of battery life on the screen so as to prevent sudden surprises that your battery is dead. The extra battery has a great plastic case so it is easy to carry several in your pocket or vest.

This battery is a beast, BH ships a fresh date one from 2021 it works even better than 2016 date battery!!

I bought this with the OMD EM1 because I always want a spare battery. It takes a couple hours to go from near depleted to full, but it has been lasting in camera better than I expected.
