The BV-1 Fluid Video Head from Leofoto is a compact fluid video head with a flat base. Constructed of durable lightweight aluminum, the head weighs just under 1 lb but can support a payload of up to 6.6 lb. The BV-1 uses an Arca-type quick release plate and features measurement markings on its base. The tilt and pan lock design allows locking one axis while adjusting the other, and the 360° panning and -75 to 90° tilting flexibility provide a wide range of movement to get the shot you want.

Q: 4. I have used and returned one copy of this head. It made crackling and popping sounds when tilting up and down. I also find that unless the pan lock is unscrewed a few turns it grinds when panning left to right. Is this the case with all units or did I get a faulty unit?
A: I would say neither instance should occur and that you should return or exchange the head.

A: No.

A: You will have to remove the camera from the head and mostly likely will have to remove the quick release plate in order to change the battery.

A: The Rosettes are only for mounting the additional or relocating the pan bar. The screws are 1/4" but bay be more than "20."
Q: 8. That base REALLY looks like it's compatible with Manfrotto - is it?
A: The quick release is not compatible with Manfrotto tripods and vice versa
