With 4TB capacity, you have enough room to store a litany of important files, suitable for backing up essential data. Easily manage your files with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, boasting read and write speeds up to 360 MB/s, allowing you to migrate information quicker than traditional hard-disk drives. An ergonomically designed keypad requires a user-generated PIN to access information and auto-erases all data after 10 incorrect attempts to keep info safe. Military-grade XTS-AES 256-bit encryption prevents hackers from accessing information and is FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated, ensuring information remains within the drive. The SecureDrive+ includes all the necessary cables so you can leverage USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and Type-C ports. You can also use the SecureDrive+ with systems equipped with Thunderbolt 3 ports with limited performance.

Pre-formatted in ExFAT enables you to use the SecureDrive+ right out of the box on Windows machines while also allowing you to reformat the drive for Mac, Linux, Chrome, VMWare, Citrix, Thin Clients, and Embedded systems.

Additional security features are included with the SecureDrive+, such as an inactivity autolock, Read Only mode, and limited access with one admin and one user modes. The SecureDrive+ is also immune to bad USB, preventing firmware updates.

A: The Black Box model has only a USB 3.0/2.0 interface and spins @ 5400 rpm. The Studio Mini has, USB 3.0, Firewire 800 and eSATA interfaces and spins along @ 7200 rpm. So the Studio mini is the better choice for medium-to-heavy video editing and the Black Box is better suited for general storage. That said, I have edited hi-res footage (Avid DNxHD145) with the Black Box and had no issues whatsoever. But I might have just gotten lucky, too.

This is great to store things like family pictures on, which is what we use it for, without taking up room on the gaming computer. I would rather have our pictures on this anyway, as it can be removed and put on another computer if needed. Very handy. 5

These drives are tiny without the protective rubber cases, and still very compact even with them. The do not seem to heat up much even when cranking on a big job. They have a handy blue indicator light that shows when they are doing their business. Blazing fast, and a great buy. 5

Pictures are a big thing for me, now I can make room for other documents. You do have to pay attention to the specs to see if it is compatible to your computer, I did have to buy an adapter to hook it to my computer. 5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! I can’t believe I am excited about a hard drive! the Kingston XS2000 2TB High-Performance Portable SSD is amazing. The Kingston XS2000 2TB High-Performance Portable SSD comes with a rubber sleeve that keeps the drive durable, water-resistant, and dust resistant. I saved a lot of files on this drive instead of my PC (for security). Very fast transfers of even large groups of large photo files. I use it several times a week, mostly writing to it, and sometimes reading from it. Never any problems, no corrupt sectors, etc. My PC always recognizes it (my older drives were hit and miss for recognition). Loads of space, and it seems sturdy and it never makes a sound and barely warms up even with extended use. USB-C is great too. The drive is small enough to be carried around easily and fits in my pant pockets ( portability in a pocket ). It has freed up over 100GB of space on my laptop and now my laptop is experiencing less lag. A great tool to help increase the capacity of your any laptop new or old. 5

Just bought it 2 weeks ago. Works great. I quickly moved all my photos & videos onto it and left all my documents on the old SSD. I had trouble with hard drives crashing twice so I wanted to get an SSD drive. 5

I transferred probably 12000 photos and decently sized videos onto this SSD within just a couple of minutes. It barely made a dent in the overall storage of the device. Although made of plastic it is super durable and came with a bumper case in the package. It definitely fits my needs and I am very happy with the quality of this SSD. 5
