A: The piece is approximately 6x5x3” and weighs 1.5 pounds. I wish it packed smaller for travel, but it does work well.

Most of the hard buttons are labeled for CAD apps, so even though you can reprgram them, they wont be intuitive. Im a photographer also, and I do not use this device for photo apps, only at work with CAD modeling programs.

A: Everything is sturdy metal except the part of the cap on the mic mount screw you turn to tighten. Even that is sturdy not cheesy. Standard thread to fit atop a mic stand. I mounted mine to a clamp. I had a little issue with the alignment of the clamp tightening screw and the nut on the center hardware making a little challenge to tighten, but even that was no big deal.

A: No, it would not be advisable to alter this product in that way. Yamaha does make 220v products for regions where that is required. If you are looking for a 220v Yamaha product, you would need to purchase it from a region where the AC power is 220v.
