A: This is a IR remote control. That actually is a picture of our remote that comes with our Lecture Capture LC102 device. Although it will control our PTZ cameras, we have a PTZ remote control that will have more functionality including opening camera controls. I'm going to assume that B&H simply imported the wrong image to go with the description. It doesn't come with a receiver. Not sure of the RS 485 question. Let me know of any other questions. A: This controller will work with the A7III. You will be able to use start/stop recording. As far as the zoom though that will depend on the kind of lens you have. The smoothness however will depend on the lens you have and you must have a lens that offers a servo zoom, otherwise the function is only available for digital zoom.
