The 512GB SF-M UHS-II SDXC Memory Card from Sony features a storage capacity of 512GB and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support advanced DSLR functions such as continuous shutter bursts and rapid shooting, as well as raw and JPEG captures. This card is also well-suited for video capture, including 4K, 3D, HFR, and Full HD video, and can achieve maximum read speeds of up to 277 MB/s and maximum write speeds of up to 150 MB/s. Thanks to its V60 speed class rating, minimum write speeds are guaranteed not to drop below 60 MB/s.

UHS-II media achieves its speed through an extra row of pins and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II / V60 compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II / V60. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-II and V30 or U3, or UHS-I and V30 or U3, both of which support minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantees minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s. If used in a UHS-I device, this card's read speeds will reach 95 MB/s and its write speeds will max out at 90 MB/s.

As with most Sony cards, this memory card is resistant against water, dust, temperature, UV light, X-rays, and magnets. Use Sony's SD Scan Utility to monitor this card's health, and should the card's data become compromised, you also benefit from the option to download File Rescue software for free to help recover deleted content.

This card maximizes the performance of UHS-II cameras, whether they are being used to record 4K video, capture continuous photos bursts, or transfer large contents to host devices.

This card is resistant to water, dust, temperature, UV, X-rays, and magnets.

File Rescue software recovers files in the XAVC S format taken by Sony digital imaging devices, up to 4K raw image and MOV files, plus the Sony/Nikon DSLR AVCHD format up to Full HD 60p, as well as other types of files.

SD Scan Utility helps you check the condition of your SD memory card. By scanning the flash memory, it tells you whether your SD memory card is working in good condition or is about to reach the limit.

While its highest performance is obtained using a UHS-II compatible camera, users can also use this in UHS-I compatible equipment with reads speeds of up to 95 MB/s and write speeds of up to 90 MB/s.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this work with Panasonic GH5 recording 4k 4:2:2 10bit [400mbps]?

A: Yes, this card is rated at V60. A V60 card is required to shoot at 400mbps with the GH5.

Q: 2. Will this card be enough to shoot in All-I beside 4k120p with the Sony A7S III?

A: Hi Antoine! According to the specs listed for the A7SIII, at 4K120 10-bit records at 280mpbs (megabits per second, which equates to 35 megabytes per second), so this card would be sufficient at V60. However, the camera does record in higher bitrates in other frame rates, so a CF Express Type-A card will be necessary for the formats that shoot at 600mbps (150Mbps).

Q: 3. I have a small problem, I have a couple of sony SD card and they work Very well on my a7SIII but one of the cards take 2 minute too format on Canon 5DIV why? But after i format the SD it works just fine.

A: The Canon 5D Mark 4 is not fully UHS-2 compatible. You can use a UHS-2 card in the camera but it cannot take advantage of the faster speeds. That is why it takes longer to format in the Canon 5D Mark 4 than it does in your Sony a7sIII.

Q: 4. Is that work for gh5 / 4k 4-22 10 br?

A: Yes, it will work.

Q: 5. Warranty?

A: Limited 5-Year Warranty from Sony.

Q: 6. Could this card work in a Sony A7iii with mismatch cards (My SanDisk Extreme Pro 256 GB V30 and this Sony 256GB SF-M V60)?

A: Yes, this card would work despite mismatched video speed ratings.

Q: 7. Are these cards still affected by the recall problem of corrupting data?

A: No, we have all new stock.

Q: 8. Will Sony RxX100 M6 be able to write or read at the speed this card offered?

A: No, the card will be overkill for the camera. A UHS-1 is an appropriate card.

Q: 9. So you don't need a G card to take full potential of Sony A9II, this New M card is enough, right?I

A: This card is able to keep up with the A9 and A9II max fps just fine.

Q: 10. Country of origin?

A: Taiwan is the country of origin for the Sony 256GB SF-M UHS-II SDXC Memory Card.
