I have started not using grips as much just because of the weight, but it was free with an r5. pretty cool being able to have extra battery power though

This grip is great for folks with big hands. I feel like I can handle the camera better with this grip than without. The extra battery is great too!

I've had probably over 12 canon digital cameras in my life, just ordered the R6 and of course I ordered the battery grip. Honestly, I don't even do it for the extra battery, I would always have one in my bag anyway. It changes the whole ergonomics of the camera. I'm surprised canon just doesn't build these cameras with this built in. Don't order this camera or any other one without this piece of equipment.

Never run too low on battery power in a day of shooting. Very handy and doesn’t add a lot of weight. At 74 I can still carry it in the woods.

doubles the time between battery changes and makes the R6 feel more like a 1D body ... love it

I am coming from a 1DX2 so I am used to a larger camera as I have large hands. I ordered this with my R5 and what a difference it makes to have it. Also, the battery grip does not simply double your battery life but it actually gives around 2.5 times the amount of charge. It's expensive but it changes the way the camera feels and gives you assurance your batteries will last.

There was confusion at first due to no USA warranty card in the box. However after contact with B&H and Canon, we were able to verify it is a USA product and the warranty is printed in the Australian Warrant enclosure.

High quality product typical of Canon. The R5 and R6 bodies are a bit smaller so having the grip gives me added confidence the camera will not slip out of my hand. Especially handy for vertical shots with the trigger and buttons in the perfect spot.
