The Lightweight Traveler-Style Camera Case from PortaBrace is designed to carry the Sony VENICE cinema camera. Made from 1000-denier, water-resistant Cordura nylon, the case features a padded EVF compartment. The exterior is water resistant and "cold-crack" tested to minus 40° F. Hollow-core plastic-reinforced 1" foam cushions the bottom and provides rigidity to the sides of the case.

A Cordura zipper hood provides additional water resistance and extends the life of the zipper. Two exterior zippered pockets carry accessories and the longer pocket is well-suited for a shotgun mic or a grip-control and arm. It has a removable, adjustable shoulder strap with a suede-covered pad and padded, overlapping suede-covered carrying handles. A: According to the specs of the interior dimensions of the bag, it wont fit. Interior Dimensions (L x W x H) 25.00 x 6.5 x 10.75" The size of the camera is: 20.5 x 9.1 x 9.5" So it'll be a real tight fit.

A: Yes but I remove the kit lens before carrying because I snapped the kit lens off the camera mouth when transporting via car once. I reposition the viewfinder in case to make it fit more safely. A: It depends what you're planning on doing with the camera really. I do own the case and it is set up specifically for shoulder mounts. I have a Panasonic ag-hmc-80 in it. I use that camera for ENG work so I needed a very fast running and gun case. It works well but has very limited storage for any accessories such as batteries, microphones, or on camera lighting. If you're looking for a run and gun case and or not planning on taking a lot of accessories if It works great. (I have not tried it with a Sony FS7) I will try and load up the consumer photo of the case with my camera sitting in it and you can try and size it up from there. For documentary work I use the Sony FS700 with the pelican 1560 case. The case is fantastic you can even carry a laptop with the included lid organizer. Sorry I could not be more help.

A: When it comes to virtually fitting gear to cases, it is a matter of educated guess. The more precise method is to measure the gear while laid out on flat surface. That being said, with the Porta Brace Cargo Case Camera Edition you should be able to carry a disassembled FS7 and probably the batteries and lens without issue. You might also consider the Porta Brace RIG-FS7XT Camera Case and Interior Kit for Sony PXW-FS7 Camera. It is specifically designed with the FS7 in mind. It is much bigger and we know it to fit the camera assembled. While it is more expensive, it is not so much when compared to the cost of the camera and the long term convenience of working out of it for the next few years.

A: This case has interior dimensions of 17.00" L x 11.5" W x 11.25" H. It is possible it will work with your fully built camera rig, but you will need to measure the dimensions of that rig to see if hey correspond with the dimensions of this case.
