In some situations, it's not practical for all USB devices to be within 16 feet of your computer. This cable provides an extra 16 feet of length to a standard USB cable. It reportedly can be chained to give longer reaches, but I haven't tried that. 5

b&h has a clearly organized section on cables and this handy cord has made life on the roar far easier since Apple, in its silliness supplies a mouse with an extensive laptop that has a cord suited to the right side of the laptop in length but the USB is on the left! 5

The USB3.x port would interfere with the wireless keyboard/mouse signals if it's plug next to the USB3.0 ports, but it's how all PC/laptop designed nowadays (USB2.x ports next to USB3.x ports). Thus the mouse and keyboard sometimes acting weird. So solve the issue, it's suggested to separate wireless keyboard/mouse connector away from USB3.0 port, and this cable is the answer to it. It's a well made cable, and it's long enough to keep the connector far far far away from any USB3.0 ports. I have not experience any mouse/keyboard malfunction ever since. 5
