The ELC Pro HD 500 recycle at full power at a blazingly fast .75 seconds and offers shorter flash durations, while the ELC 500's recycle at a still very respectable 1.9 seconds at full power. The ELC 500's are TTL-enabled (with the Transmitter Pro) and High Speed Sync is available; the Pro HD 500's are not TTL capable, nor are they Hi-Sync compatible.
