Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use this film for the Holga camera?

A: If your Holga is a 120 version then yes you can use it.

Q: 2. I used this film with Mamiya 645 and Sekonic L-308X-U on a daylight, i sat my light meter to 400 ISO, am following the light meter readings and i still getting under exposed images, what u think is my problem. btw sometimes i push my film but i still not satisfied with the results. (**note** camera is in good condition)

A: I've shot this film twice, once at 800 with no push, and second time at 1600 and pushed 2 stops. The second time around I had better results with contrast and the look I was going for. It's a bit trial and error, but I feel 400 is too low. So try shooting at 500 in daylight if you use with a 85 filter as per CineStill, but honesty I think this is better suited at 800 or 1600 ISO.

Q: 3. What is the color temp of this film?

A: Kodak Portra film, including the Kodak Portra 800 120 Professional Color Print Film is daylight balanced. The color temperature for daylight is 5500 Kelvin.

Q: 4. I'm looking for film for an old Brownie Hawkeye. Will this work?

A: The Kodak Brownie Hawkeye camera uses 620 film, not 120 film, and would not be compatible with the Kodak 120 Professional Portra 400 Color Negative Film (Pro Pack, 5 Rolls) listed above. You would have to choose one of the 620 roll films we have listed on our website. http://bhpho.to/1fbaWFp

Q: 5. Should this film be frozen from day one or can I leave it at room temperature if I plan to use it before expiration date? Thanks.

A: Yes. Can be left in room temperature before expiration date.

Q: 6. Hi! is this 35mm?

A: No, this is not 35mm film. The Lomography 120 Lomographic ISO 800 Color Negative Film (3 Rolls) is size 120 color negative print film designed for use in cameras that use the larger, unperforated 120 film.

Q: 7. Might be a dumb question, but this would fit into a holga camera?

A: It should fit. Holga cameras mainly use 120 film.

Q: 8. Will this work with a pentax zoom 105-R?

A: The Pentax Zoom 105 R uses 35mm film, so you would need the Kodak Professional Portra 400 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures, 5-Pack), BH # KOP40036PP https://bhpho.to/2JOxjo4

Q: 9. If your goal is to take pictures that start out using film, then scan them into digital format that can be edited using software to produce digital pictures, what type film is best to use --- Color Negative film or Color Slide film?

A: Color negative is a bit more forgiving in terms of overexposure compared to slide film, generally speaking. If you are used to shooting digitally, then color negative would be a better place to start. Also, it's much more difficult to find a lab that will do color slide processing, dependent upon where you live.

Q: 10. When will it be restocked?

A: Unfortunately we do not have any date of availability for this film. We suggest keeping an eye on this space for an announcement.

Great film - fast shipping - great for outdoors and for use with a flash - fun artsy photos, a little expensive to professionally develop

This is a good film for budget shooting or first forays into medium format photography. The numbers on the backing are a bit on the light side, so I can see how it would be easy to advance the film beyond the next frame while viewing through the counter window under certain lighting conditions. I can usually see it under direct sunlight or using a flashlight (nighttime photography situations) best.

I use this film in my Kodak Brownie Twin 20, after I respool it onto a 620 spool. But I love the outcome of the photos. So far, this is my favorite film.

Important note in using this film... to take a picture you need to line up the dot in the middle of the red window. I was scared of the film so it was hard for me to load it and know when to take a picture and when to wind. I love that it has clever little motivational statements in the window before you get to the film. Another great aspect of lomography, creativity and artistic value are brought back to photos! I am still waiting for my photos to return from the lab, I tried to keep the film in low light as much as possible so we'll see if I did a good enough job.

I use this in my old Kodak Duaflex ii fake-TLR camera. It works great being a color ISO film of 100, colors stay sharp and the grain seems fine. I have a fixed shutter speed of 1/30 sec so the 100 ISO is important to me. Really enjoyed this film.

I use this for Pinhole and regular shots for all my cameras from plastic Holgas to glass lensed TLRs. It is a great price for experimenting.
