The Tiffen 4 x 4" 2 Green Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a bright green coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 2 color density provides less green coloration than the 3 density, but more than the 1 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 4 x 4" / 101.6 x 101.6mm.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it exactly the same hard stop-1 and hard stop-2 ND filter in Cokin kit CH3HO25 and cokin kit CH300-02?Which party number has ND soft stop-1 and soft stop-2 in the cheaper P series? (not Cokin Nuances P-Series)Thanks :)

A: The filters in both B&H # COCH3HO25 and B&H # COCH30002 are exactly the same. The difference being one set has the holder and the other does not. Sorry, there are no soft edge P series filers that are not Nuances.

Q: 2. What is the difference between the Cokin P121 and the P121S graduated neutral density filters? Both are stated to be 3-stop graduated filters. Does the s version make a more gradual transition from clear to dark than the base 121? Why would you use one versus the other?

A: I believe the S refers to soft indicating a softer transition from the neutral density region to clear. I use the S version when the scene I am trying to capture has objects (such as trees) extending into the brighter region (e.g. sky). I find the S version often works nicely when shooting some waterfalls and I want to have the foreground more exposed without introducing a hard transition line. If I'm shooting a sunset or sunrise with a strong horizon line I typically go with a harder transitioned filter.

Q: 3. Is it compatible with the NiSi 150mm Filter Holder for Nikon 14-24mm Lens?

A: The NiSi 150 x 170mm Nano Soft-Edge Graduated IRND 1.5 Filter (5-Stop) is compatible with the NiSi 150mm Filter Holder for Nikon 14-24mm Lens.

Q: 4. Is there a glass one of these?

A: Per reply from Lee Filters today, all of their graduated filters are manufactured in resin only.

Q: 5. Is this filter compatible with a Formatt Hitech 100mm Aluminum Modular Filter Holder Kit with 77mm Wide Angle Adapter Ring?

A: Being that this NISI filter is 2mm thick, the Formatt Hitech 100mm Aluminum Modular Filter Holder Kit can accept it.

Q: 6. I have two wide angle lenses, one with a 77mm diameter and the other's an 82. I assume I'll need an 82mm adapter as well as the 77. Is that correct and where do I find it?

A: That is correct. You can click on the link to view the items; https://bhpho.to/2vBKhB2 https://bhpho.to/2xcZU2i

Q: 7. Is this the same filter that is part of the .3,.6,.9 3 piece set?

A: Yes it is the same as offered in the 85mm set.

Q: 8. ND filter holders

A: I hand hold the filter in front of the lens, that allows me to move it up or down, depending on the affect I want. Be sure to hold the filter against the lens or you will get some reflection in the picture.

Q: 9. Does it work with a Nikon 14-24? What adaptor will I need for the 24-70?

A: Unfortunately, there is no adapter for the Nikon AF-S 14-24mm lens to allow Cokin P Series filters to work with it. For the Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens, the Cokin P Series Filter Holder Adapter Ring (82mm), BH # COCH3HO25 https://bhpho.to/2BzGELC

Q: 10. I have a tamron 150-600mm zoom. Is this the right size to use? Or would the 100x 150 be big enough? Thanks!

A: According to Tamron data your lens has a 95mm thread and you can get a 95mm adapter for either the 100mm or the 150mm system. You do not need any wider than 100mm for that lens. The 150mm system is for lenses smaller than 16mm so that you don't get vignetting.
