Tailored specifically for speech, this professional mic delivers superb directional capture of your voice for presentations, conferences, education, broadcast, and more.

The UL4 UniPlex features a 5mm subminiature capsule for unobtrusive placement on camera. With its directional pickup pattern, the mic offers high gain before feedback, making it well suited for speech at events with loud sound reinforcement. The thin, 1.6mm Shure Plex cable features a dual-redundant ground that serves as secondary shield, giving it added protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and unprecedented durability. The fully paintable cable is immune to memory effect and kinks.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the new Rode Wireless PRO TX?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser MKE 2 Gold Series Subminiature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector is compatible for use with the transmitters included with the RODE Wireless PRO 2-Person Clip-On Wireless Microphone System.

Q: 2. Is the mic head of Shure BLX188 Wireless Cardioid Lavalier Mic adjustable to the position of the source of sound? Will the mic capture the sound when the speaker turns the head sideway?

A: The lapel microphones in the Shure BLX188/CVL Dual-Channel Wireless Cardioid Lavalier Microphone System feature a directional (although wide) cardioid pickup pattern. When clipped to the collar, they should capture the speaker's voice in most orientations when the lapel microphone is oriented in an upward position, although perhaps to a lesser effect if the speaker turns their head.

Q: 3. Will this go into the Deity Theos?

A: No, the Sennheiser MKE 2 Gold Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone is not compatible for use with the transmitter for the Deity Theos Digital 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System. The mic requires 7.5V of plug-in power and the transmitter can only supply 3 to 5V.

Q: 4. what is the difference between Hi8 and J10 Shure wireless systems?

A: Same systems, features, and performance characteristics. They operate on slightly different UHF frequency bands:H8: 518 - 542 MHzJ10: 584 - 608 MHz

Q: 5. Does it need phanton power to work?

A: No, phantom power is not needed for dynamic microphones like the Shure 55SH.

Q: 6. Looking into using the MKE2 with the tascam dr-10l would that work? As well as would there be any downsides to doing that?

A: There would be no downsides and would be a big improvement in sound.

Q: 7. Is the mke2 compatible with sennheiser ew 100 g2 ?

A: Yes it is.

Q: 8. is any of the three available frequency bands less vulnerable to interference? I want to use them in a deposition setting that changes from day to day from high end conference rooms to witnesses homes.

A: I can't speak to the 3 different band versions, but I can say that each version has a wide array of sub-bands you can choose from. Further more, the receiver has a function where you can have it select the sub-band with the least amount of interference -- it scans every band and then sets itself to the cleanest one. You then just set the transmitter to match. It has worked very well for me.

Q: 9. Can I mute mic from the body pack?

A: No, the transmitter does not have a mute switch.

Q: 10. Can this be paired with a Tentacle Sync Track E?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser MKE 2 Gold Series Lavalier Microphone is compatible for use with the Tentacle Sync TRACK E Pocket Audio Recorder.
