Q: 4. Has anyone managed to sync their Einstein strobes at greater than 1/250s using the PowerMC2 on the Einstein and MiniTT1 transmitter and AC3 Zone Controller on their Nikon D700 or D800 cameras? I can't figure out how to make the HyperSync work with this combination.

A: HyperSync results vary by camera and flash. For the Einstein, you need to set the flash to full power and it needs to be in color mode. If you have trouble with your specific setup, you can check the PocketWizard Wiki and/or contact PocketWizard directly for help. Both of those cameras should be able to sync over 1/250 in HyperSync with an Einstein.

I have been using these Blu-Ray discs for many years. Have burned over 400 between the 25GB & 50GB versions. Have not had one bad burn. (I only use them for image backup - not for movies).

It's Verbatim. What could possibly go wrong? It's kind of like a no brainer. Just buy the darn thing!

Verbatim is the only brand I use. B&H always has great prices.

I don't know if cleaning the lens, which I had neglected for too long, or the media itself made the difference, but it's nice to burn one after another without problems. With optical media, there's the nagging question of the underlying foundry, but with an established brand, you figure they're always trying to keep ahead of those problems and protect the brand reputation, since the online world of buyer feedback can be brutal. And the price is very reasonable.

These Verbatim disks are the only ones I am aware of that still use an inorganic, metallized recording layer - Verbatim's M.A.B.L or Metal Ablative Layer

The M.A.B.L inorganic recording layer is reported to last much longer than the organic dye recording layer originally used in DVDs, and now being used to reduce the manufacturing cost of BD-R disks.

In my experience cheap media are never a bargain unless you don't care about what's stored on them, so use these quality Verbatim media for trouble-free recording and long-life instead.

I am using Verbatim DVD's for a long time. This is the second time I bought BD-R, and I also bought BD-RE's. They all work well.

Don't be fooled by lesser quality BD-R Discs. You will get what you paid for, less is not always equal.
