The 64GB Atlas Ultra UHS-II SDXC Memory Card from OWC / Other World Computing features a storage capacity of 64GB and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support advanced DSLR/mirrorless functions such as continuous shutter bursts and rapid shooting, as well as raw and JPEG captures. This card is also well-suited for video capture, including 6K, 4K, Full HD, and 3D video. It can achieve max sequential read speeds of up to 300 MB/s and max sequential write speeds of up to 250 MB/s. Thanks to its V90 speed class rating, minimum sustained write speeds are guaranteed not to drop below 90 MB/s.

To help facilitate card usage in almost any environment, as well as keeping your content safe, OWC built the Atlas Ultra with a design that is bend, shock, and X-ray resistant, as well as an IP67 rating, meaning it is dust and waterproof. It is also able to withstand temperature extremes from -13 to 185°F.

UHS-II media achieves its speed through an extra row of pins and, while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II / V90 compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II / V90. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-II and V60, which supports minimum write speeds of 60 MB/s, UHS-II and V30, which supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s, or UHS-I and U3, which also supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantees minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

Big theoretical performance numbers are certainly eye catchers, but they are misleading when your workflow requires real-world speed. That's why OWC takes the extra time to run OWC flash storage solutions through intensive performance testing, and they share their test setup and parameters. Truthfully listing Atlas Ultra SD V90 memory cards for reliable performance, with writes up to 250 MB/s and reads up to 300 MB/s defines their commitment to the "OWC Difference," which ensures these UHS-II SD cards will deliver the performance you are counting on.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How would these compare to the Lexar 128GB Professional 1800x UHS-II? I am looking for something to use with the GH5 400mbps.

A: The ProGrade Digital 128GB UHS-II SDXC Memory Card and the Lexar 128GB Professional 1800x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card are both rated V60 for video. For video recording at 400 Mb/s on the Panasonic Lumix GH5 Mirrorless Camera these would perform equally well. The difference would be in photography where the Lexar has a higher write speed potentially offering faster performance.

Q: 2. anyone using it on bmpcc 4k? Is it good enough for BRAW? (like 12:1or 8:1 75fps)

A: Hi Wai Lun the V60 card will work with the BMPC 4k but for the best performance the V90 card is a much better choice.

Q: 3. Will this work for Eos r6

A: Yes these cards are compatible with the Canon EOS R6.

Q: 4. Is this compatible with the GH5 mark II?

A: Yes. This is compatible with the GH5 Mk II. The camera has dual card slots for UHS-I and II SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards. These cards are V60 and should support almost all video functionality. In some cases, certain video bitrates or updates could prefer/recommend V90 cards.

Q: 5. Does a 250MB/s memory card have any distinct advantage over a 170MB/s memory card; either for continuous shooting, or downloading photos to a computer?

A: Hi James, Yes, a 250MB/s card does have advantages in shooting stills, capturing video and in downloading content to a computer. Both the read and write speeds are faster on that card than on the card you reference. You are less likely to notice a difference when shooting stills since both cards will likely keep up with the buffer of your camera but if you are shooting video you be able to capture video at the highest resolutions. In your workflow when downloading to your computer you will offload all of your content faster.

Q: 6. Is this a good card for nikon d780?

A: Yes. great choice the Nikon processor will take full advantage of the read/write speeds.

Q: 7. I'm considering buying either the Sabrent Rocket card or the OWC Atlas card. I know the Sabrent is faster, but which is better?

A: Both memory cards are very good. The difference in write speed is not large. But the OWC has a three year warranty and the other has a Limited 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty (Without Registration) Registration Extension: 2-Year

Q: 8. Will this work on Canon R5?

A: These cards will work with the Canon R5, however it's suggested to go for the faster Prograde cards to make the most of the R5's capabilities.

Q: 9. Will the ProGrade Digital 256GB UHS-II SDXC work with the original Blackmagic Pocket cinema camera? Anyone tried it?

A: On paper, the card should work without issue. UHS-II cards are backwards compatible with UHS-I card slots, since all that happens is that they read/write at UHS-I speeds. The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera is also SDXC-standard compatible, which means theoretically any capacity of card in the SDXC standard should work.

Q: 10. Are there TBW specs for OWC's V60 cards as there are for their V90 cards?

A: No TBW information is provided for the OWC 128GB Atlas Pro UHS-II SDXC Memory Card; it's only available for the V90 memory cards.

Using in a Nikon Z6 III.. Purchased on sale where it was $100 less than another quality card. So far no overheating issues as previously I have used exclusively Prograde Digital Gold cards which have been reliable.

I use the 650GB card with my Canon R5 C for 8K raw video and it's lightning fast.

Paired with OWC's FXR card reader, you get 1GB/sec+ transfer speeds to ingest everything into your system.

Only ever had good customer service experiences with them when I needed help with something, so highly recommended!

For stills shooting these cards seem to write the files before you have fired the shutter :)

I'm doing quick burst of 15fps and 4k video with NO black out times. Uploading all the data to my computer with a thunderbolt cable is dream. 500GB in a few minutes, I could never do that with a regular SD card.
