The 256GB Atlas Pro UHS-II SDXC Memory Card from OWC / Other World Computing features a storage capacity of 256GB and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support advanced DSLR/mirrorless functions such as continuous shutter bursts and rapid shooting, as well as raw and JPEG captures. This card is also well-suited for video capture, including 4K, Full HD, and 3D video. It can achieve max sequential read speeds of up to 250 MB/s and max sequential write speeds of up to 130 MB/s. Thanks to its V60 speed class rating, minimum sustained write speeds are guaranteed not to drop below 60 MB/s.

To help facilitate card usage in almost any environment, as well as keeping your content safe, OWC built the Atlas Pro with a design that is bend, shock, and X-ray resistant, as well as an IP67 rating, meaning it is dust and waterproof. It is also able to withstand temperature extremes from -13 to 185°F.

UHS-II media achieves its speed through an extra row of pins and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II / V60 compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II / V60. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-II and V30, which supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s, or UHS-I and U3, which also supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantees minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Country of origin?

A: Taiwan is the country of origin for the Sony 256GB SF-M UHS-II SDXC Memory Card.

Q: 2. Would this be a good card for the Canon C200? 4K

A: Yes, this card is compatible for recording 4K on the C200.

Q: 3. can i use this card for video recording on canon r6 mark ii?

Q: 4. is this card good for Sony A 1 camera?

Q: 5. I'm considering buying either the Sabrent Rocket card or the OWC Atlas card. I know the Sabrent is faster, but which is better?

A: Both memory cards are very good. The difference in write speed is not large. But the OWC has a three year warranty and the other has a Limited 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty (Without Registration) Registration Extension: 2-Year

Q: 6. Is this SF-M series card fast enough for 4k in Canon 5d4? The 256GB SF-E Series is too slow and chokes after a few minutes.

A: If you want to take advantage of 4K Video with the Canon 5D Mark IV, you'd need to use a CompactFlash card. This is because 4K is recorded at 500mbps which is 62.5MBps, so you'd need a card with a video rating of 65 or higher. The 5D Mark IV doesn't have a UHS-II card slot, so you cannot take advantage of V90 cards, so you'd have to resort to CompactFlash which the VPG rating is VPG 65 - which'll suffice for 4K video on this camera. We recommend something like the SanDisk 128GB Extreme Pro CompactFlash Memory Card (http://bhpho.to/2aGsUQf).

Q: 7. Does this work with canon R 5 camera?

A: Yes it will!

Q: 8. Is this card suitable for use in the Canon C70 camera?

Q: 9. Could this card support GH5 400mbps recording ??

A: For a GH5 you would want a V90 card like this one https://bhpho.to/2n7yWUN.

Q: 10. Can this be used with Nikon 850?

A: As the Nikon D850 DSLR camera is compatible for use with UHS-II Memory Cards, yes, the Sony 256GB SF-M/T2 UHS-II SDXC Memory Card would be compatible for use with the Nikon D850 DSLR camera.

This was the least exciting purchase in my recent upgrade apart from a microSD card which will never leave my camera for fear of losing it. I must have been living under a rock as this is my first UHS-II card and the speed is impressive, hence the five star rating. Other than that it is hard to get too excited. ProGrade seem to have reputation for reliability, only time will tell, but so far I have no complaints.
