Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Some harnesses have more of an elastic type material and stretch with the weight of the camera. Will this do that or is it stronger material? Also would it hold a Canon 70D with a 600mm lens?

A: Does not stretch. I replaced one that did with this and nice to not have camera bouncing around when I walk.I have used it with a 5D III & 100-400 with no problem.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the Sony a6000?

A: Thank you for responding to my question guys! Would you happen to know of a good name/brand of the cable I need ?

Q: 3. Does it prevent the camera from swinging side to side(or forward and back) when hiking?

A: Yes it does. However I found it cumbersome when using a long lens. The best thing is that it allows you to shoot all day, (6-8 hours) and not feel worn out like when you use a conventional strap.

Q: 4. Does this device have a vesa mount? It seems to have vesa compatible mounting points under the battery plate.

A: Unfortunately, the Elvid FieldVision 4KV2 7" On-Camera Monitor (B&H# ELOCM7B4KV2) is not VESA mount compatible.

Q: 5. Would this work on a Canon EOS Rebel T5. Not T5i but a T5

A: Yes.

Q: 6. Would this be comfortable for a busty older woman to wear?

A: I understand your issue and wish to help. I also wish that manufacturers would be more cognizant of women customer needs. That way they could design or at least say which of their products are appropriate. Having said that, looking at what is available, I think this Porta Brace has a good chance of working. You might also consider these: USA GEAR TrueSHOT Camera Harness Strap (Geometric) B&H # USGRCMHS01GM and LensCoat Camera/Binoculars Harness (Elastic Version) B&H # LELCBCHE. You might also consider this sling type strap. It will fit, it will allow you to use your camera very quickly and be very comfortable while standing. You do have to have a hand on the camera when walking. OP/TECH USA Utility Strap-Sling (Black) B&H # OPSUSBZ

Q: 7. Does it Fit larger people example big & Tall sized men 6ft. 4 ecr!!!!?

A: The PortaBrace HR-DSLR Padded Nylon Camera Harness is most comfortable for "average" sized people--someone who is 6' 4" and of average weight would find it a great option; for bigger people, it might be a bit tight.

Q: 8. Will this bag fit the Sony FS5?

A: The Porta Brace BK-5HDV interior dimensions are: 12.0 x 8.5 x 20.5 (30.5 x 21.6 x 52.1 cm). the Sony FS5 with the 18 to 105mm lens, lens hood, large eyecup, LCD viewfinder, top handle, grip is 7.38 x 8.63 x 6.88 / 18.73 x 21.91 x 17.46 cm. You have plenty of room.
