Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit a G 1376 offset ball head?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the G1376.

Q: 2. Compatible with the 1276?

A: The Gitzo GS5370B Series 3-5 Aluminum Quick Release Plate Square B is incompatible with the Gitzo G1276 tripod head. You need the Gitzo G-1173-14B Quick Release Plate with 1/4"-20 Screw for G1172, G1276/M, G1387B & G1285B Heads. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3DADBn5.

Q: 3. What’s the best way to adapt 75mm ball head?

A: The best way to fit a 75mm ball adapter to the Proaim Telescopic Bazooka with Quick Lock Lever is to use a Mitchell riser with a 75mm adapter on it.

Q: 4. Would anyone put an Astra on one of these things? Would love to put stands inside the case.

A: This stand is capable of holding up to 11 LBS, so it can definitely hold a Litepanels Astra panel which weighs about 7 LBS.

Q: 5. Would this be compatible with alien bee 400 and 86'plm?

A: It sound like it will do the trick just be careful out side.

Q: 6. Can I use this with an Alien B 400 and west tot 50x50?

A: The stand would hold it just fine. They are defiantly travel stands that have a little wobble to them fully extended. I wouldn't want to use them on a regular bases for local shoots. I personally use them for Litepanels LED lights as a travel kit and it works well in that case. For everyday use I would get a step up from these stands

Q: 7. Can this be mounted to a concrete floor versus a mobile dolly?

A: We are only aware that Proaim Telescopic Bazooka would work with ProAims dollys.

Q: 8. will this mount directly to the cineline dolly?

A: In order to connect the Proaim Telescopic Bazookav to the Cineline Dolly, you need to have the Proaim Rotating Turnstile Mount.

Q: 9. Could someone recommend a great stand for this light? I'd like to be able to tilt it, so I think I need a boom arm. I'd like one that is easy to adjust, not too awkward. I don't think the Matthews Stand tilts. A C-stand with wheels might be nice, but need someone to point me in the right direction! Thanks!

A: The Matthews reverse stand is a good stand but I would go with a c stand for any kind of boom or arm.

Q: 10. I REALLY like this handle but I want a NATO attachment, like their other handles. Can I switch the attachment arm?

A: A good alternate handle with a similar design to the Proaim SnapRig Universal Wood Side Handle is listed below. Proaim SnapRig Wood Mini Side Handle (NATO Clamp) BH #PRWSH02 • MFR #WSH-02 SmallRig Wooden Side Handle with NATO Clamp BH #SM2187B

Great stand. Light yet sturdy! Allows the PLM to get right down to the floor which other stands don't allow. Folds up into a very convenient travel size as well. Highly recommended!

This is a second purchase for me. It folds up small and extends to 7'. I have started doing portrait sessions and I am a one man team. They are compact and easy to transport for sessions.

This stand is awesome. I am probably going to buy another one. For the cost it does well. With the photox 36 inch softbox and the wescott ad400 this stand is wide enough to keep it from falling over. it leans a little bit because of the weight but i had some other stands from i think.... i think manfrotto that couldn't hold my set up but are more for speedlights. This stand is awesome. Compacts down, holds some pretty heavy lights for being portable

I use an 86 inch plm for my newborns and this stand allows it to go down to the floor which is exactly what I needed. It’s durable for such a low price. I’m pleased with my purchase!

This stand is compact when closed down, not too heavy, and it is a sturdy support for a light with attached modifier. I usually hang the power supply on the light too.

The clamps are easy to use and substantial so it is unlikely to break in use. Once set up, the stand is stable and it doesn't move.

Pay attention to the weight rating. These are not large, robust light stands, but they will work great for the vast majority of lights out there. I use them for my Intellytech LC 160's, which are very light weight, so there's no issues. I started using these because I travel and needed more space in my ThinkTank Production Manager 40 case and it worked great. Everything is metal, not plastic, so they are worth the money.

I photograph roller derby. I set up lights around the track and leave them. When I do that, I need to worry about people walking into the stands. With the legs flat on the floor, I can tape the legs down and not worry about them getting knocked down. Wobble comparison: I also have a Phottix p200 stand. Compared to this stand, that one is super wobbly. To compare, I put an AD200 on top of each stand and tapped the stands. The Matthews stand stopped wobbling in about 10 seconds, the P200 was still wobbling 30 seconds later. Height: I don't know where they get the 7 ft specification. You can make this stand higher than that, but if you set the legs to be flat on the floor, the stand goes to 73 inches high. By comparison, the p200 is 71 inches high. I'm still not totally sold on them, though. I'm used to a 12 foot stand, and 6 feet is pretty short -- I'll be trying out the baby stand extension. That might not work well on the wobblier stands, but should be fine on this one.
