Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this stand be disassembled for easier travel packing?

A: Yes, this stand should unscrew from it's base for easy fitting into storage.

Q: 2. Are these 16bit or 24bit DAC? I can't seem to find in the specs...

A: There is a 16bit DAC inside.

Q: 3. Do these work with any of your wall mounts?

A: These active speakers are not designed for typical speaker wall mounts. These should work: Adjust the width of the mount with the telescoping base to fit nearly any speaker. Designed for any bookshelf speaker including speakers without threaded inserts or keyhole slots. Peerless-AV Bookshelf Speaker Mount (26 lb Capacity, 2-Pack BH #PESPK26 - https://bhpho.to/2RsxsjD

Q: 4. Will this stand work with Telefunken M82? I need a table stand for it.

A: Yes, the RODE DS1 Microphone Desktop Stand will work with the Telefunken M82 Large Diaphragm Dynamic Microphone.

Q: 5. will this hold an NT-1 with an SM6 shock mount?

A: Yes, you can use the DS1 to hold the NT-1 with the SM6 shock mount, but you might want to use a sandbag or weight to keep it stable or consider a stand with a heavier base like the Auray TT-6220 (B&H # AUTT6220B) or Atlas Sound DS-7E Desk Stand (B&H # ATDS7E).

Q: 6. What is the difference between the A2+ model vs the A1 model?

A: The Audioengine A2+ Wireless Bluetooth Speaker System with S6 6" 210W Subwoofer Kit (Satin Black), BH # AUA2PBTBLKS6 (B&H Kit), offers the following differences over the A1speakers according to Audioengine: The A1 and A2+ are both premium powered stereo speakers, with high-quality aptX Bluetooth for quick and easy connection to any app or device. Modeled after the A2+, the A1 also boasts precision tuned, hand-crafted cabinets, uses the same silk dome tweeters and aramid fiber woofers, and features an aux audio input and subwoofer connection. Where the A1s differ, however, are in the types and styles of connections and the finish style of the cabinets. The A1 speakers use spring clips for the speaker wire connections rather than 5-way binding posts and, unlike the A2+, do not offer RCA or USB connection options. The A1 hand-finished cabinets feature vinyl exterior finish rather than the painted finish offered on the A2+.

Q: 7. Will this work well with Rode Podmaster mic with Rode PSM1 shock mount?

A: Yes the Rode PSM1 is directly compatible with the Rode Podcaster and the Rode DS1 mic stand.

Q: 8. Can these be used as computer speakers? I like a lot of bass, and currently using klipsch pro media 2.1 speakers.

A: I believe A5+ can be computer speakers because they are active speakers comes with amplifier embedded. However, they are too big if you put them next to my 27 monitor. Imagine it will looked so out of proportion with smaller monitor. I suggest you use A2+ and add a subwoofer to give better bass than A5+ can provide. A2+ will be less costly. Money saved can pay a portion of a sub. I currently use A5+ on speaker stands with a 4K TV, which put out terrible sound quality. I am an audiophile and I cannot recommend A5+ or A2+ as hifi speakers for music listening. They are just OK speakers and cost effective.

Q: 9. Will this hold the Shure SM-7B?

A: Hello Alan, it should hold up the 7B without any problems.

Q: 10. Looking to put 2 of these on a shelf on my TV stand. The shelf is 8" high x 4ft wide x 1ft deep. The Audio Engine A2+ at 6" high x 4" wide x 5.25" depth Does BHPHOTO sell a very short speaker stand that I could use to decouple the speaker from the shelf, but still have it fit within the 8" high shelf? ...trying to reduce vibrations going thru the other devices on the tv stand & space is limited. cheers

A: We offer the Audioengine DS1 Desktop Stand for Small Speakers for this compatibility.
