Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. do these gloves have leather on them?

A: No, the PGYTECH Photography Gloves (L) does not have leather on the gloves. The glove’s main material is 70% polyester, 12% nylon, and 18% PU. The gloves’ lightweight and breathable multi-layer design features a HIPORA waterproof outer layer, a windproof layer and a thermal inner liner made from soft, 3M Thinsulate™ insulation to ensure your hands stay warm and dry. The palms are covered in a PU anti-slip lining to help prevent accidental slips or drops.

Q: 2. Hi, What is the difference between this kit and the one listed as Manfrotto 2961D Complete Deluxe AutoPole-2 Expan Kit ?Thanks

A: While both kits have the same height, their respective locking mechanisms are different. The standard Autopole requires the user to push a release button to unlock the lever and reduce the height. The deluxe Autopole would require the user to simply pull the level downward and toward them to reduce the height. For those who need to set up backgrounds on a less permanent basis, the Deluxe AutoPole 2 Expan Kit is a better option.

Q: 3. It says 032b for the auto pole does it come with only one auto pole that seems odd

A: The Manfrotto Complete AutoPole Expan Kit - Black BH #MA2960B comes with two poles.

Q: 4. Is there a comprehensive index at the back of this book?

A: Yes, the Rocky Nook David Busch's Sony a7R IV Guide to Digital Photography has a comprehensive index in the back.

Q: 5. Will these work in vaulted ceiling?

A: These will require a flat section to be mounted against.

Q: 6. Do these have double zippers?

A: No, the Neewer Photography Sandbags have single zippers.

Q: 7. Is this a single pole or the complete system? The pictures and description is confusing - from the pictures it looks like complete system but the description says single autopole

A: The pole used in the kit is called a single. The kit is a complete kit of two Autopoles, the brackets and the Expandrives.

Q: 8. How will it do in a wind of 30mph with a light load of an Insta360R?

A: The Manfrotto VR Aluminum Complete Stand will not withstand 30mph winds. Please use weighted sandbags as added support for your stand.

Q: 9. I recently purchased this kit and the fixture doesn't seem to seat correctly onto the light stand stud. Is there any special adapter needed for this kit out of the box? It seems as though the hole on the fixture is too shallow, so when I start to tighten the locking nut, the fixture tilts about 20 degrees. I can get it to safely fit snugly, it's just at a weird angle making top down light difficult. Any advise/ suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Novice To Lights

A: Hi, the fixture pushes about 1 1/2 inches into the light stand stud. The bottom of the neck of the fixture should be touching the bottom of the stud ( the silver shiny part ) then tighten it with the locking nut. It should not tilt whatsoever. Make sure it's all the way in before you tighten the fixture. Otherwise you may have either a defective stand or light fixture. Hope this helps!

Q: 10. Can I buy a better chain that will not break other than the aluminum ones included?

A: Unfortunately, there are only a plastic or metal chain option for this system. To minimize breakage on the plastic chain, you can shorten the length by removing links as needed.

I have always gotten a Busch guide when buying a new Nikon body. Busch offers a personal, easy to read, knowledgeable and comprehensive guide to setting up and using the D850. The D850 is a complex body. It's not a camera that can just be picked up and used. Busch provides a thorough explanation with visual support of recommended settings and how to use the camera in a variety of settings . It's an invaluable friend.

I always buy Busch's books for my Nikon cameras and recommend them to my students at photo workshop. The books are designed well and easy to use.

My first purchase of a David Busch book was for my D800 I purchased several yeas back. I first suffered through the manual that came with my Nikon (great for reference if you know exactly what your looking for but not much help understanding the features overall). The Busch book was fantastic, got me up to speed fast, suggested settings were superb. For some reason I purchased the other authors D850 book when I purchased my new D850 and ended up disappointed. The other authors book was not incorrect however, in my opinion, it's layout is more spot reference for advanced users than a nice walk through the capabilities of the D850. I find the David Busch manual easy to follow, gets you up to speed fast, and has great suggested custom settings based on intended use.

Using this to learn and improve my Manual skills for my camera, so I can do even more with it.
Book goes in my bag with wherever I go!
Great as both a reference and as a learning tool.
Glad I got it
