A: In general, no, ballheads are less useful for panning purposes. Panheads and fluid panheads are better for that application. Q: 6. There is some loose play in the single lever on mine and I don't know if they all do that or if mine is a problem. I do not like the feel of it. I've tried to tighten via the one hex nut holding it on but it won't budge. Is this loose play normal or do I have a bad Oben? BTW, I'm talking about very little movement, maybe 1 to 2 sixteenths of an inch but it's enough for it not to feel right to me.

A: We have had ours for at least a year now and use it on average 2-3 times per week. Nothing is loose.

A: As Blackmagic Design has written, The Blackmagic Design Fairlight Console Channel Fader Modular Control Surface, is only for use with Fairlight Consoles. An audio mixer control suface is supported as a MIDI device to communicate with an ATEM, when using the Mackie Control commands.

Q: 8. I want to use my nikon 200-500mm 5.6 lens on a D5100 body. Is this steady enough to handle that combination?

A: I don't know about that particular setup but with a Pentax K3 and a Sigma 150-500 with a teleconvertor to shoot the blood moon and besides some very minor shakiness from what I think was wind it is an extremely solid tripod head.

Q: 9. what is difference between 108 and 108T? Description notes T=travel head but are they not the same specs? Secondly, the included photographs do not show the bottom of the head accepted screws that appear in the collars for various Oben tripods and monopods. Do all Oben heads have those screws for added stability or only some?

A: The BA-108T is almost the same but has a thinner profile. This can be very good if the tripod you are attaching this to has a small base.The BA108T maximum diameter is 1.3 (3.3cm) and the BA108 has a maximum diameter of 1.5 (3.8cm).

Q: 10. What is the diameter of the base? I want a 6cm base.
