Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it 50w amp per speaker for 25w to each speaker?

A: The Mackie CR3-X is 50W total, with the amplifier built into the powered speaker, it comes with speaker cable to connect the passive speaker to the amplifier that is built into the powered speaker.

Q: 2. What are the dimensions?

A: The dimensions are 5.5 x 8.1 x 7.1" / 14 x 20.6 x 18 cm (Each).

Q: 3. Will this work between a mixing board and an android smartphone? Using an auxiliary output from the mixer

A: No, this cable is intended for connecting a dynamic microphone with the input on a smartphone. Since you will be connecting the output from a mixer, which is a louder line level signal (not mic level), you will need to use an attenuator (level matching) cable that will pad the line level signal from the mixer and make it compatible with the mic level input on a smartphone. If you will be connecting from a mixer's XLR output, you will want to send both the left and right output signals so you will need a cable like the Sescom SES-43DB-# 43 dB Pad DSLR Attenuating Line to Mic Level Cable - 18" (B&H # SES43DBMZ2XJ) combined with a USB-C adapter such as the Apple USB Type-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APMU7E2AMA) to convert the 3.5mm TRS plug to USB-C. If you have other output options on the mixer, such as RCA (Tape output), you can use the Sescom SES-43DB-# 43 dB Pad DSLR Attenuating Line to Mic Level Cable - 18" (B&H # SES43DBMZ2P). Please

A: Yes you can use the Zoom TXF-8 TA3 to XLR Cable with the left and right outputs on the Sound Devices MixPre-10 II.

Q: 6. HD600 or this?

A: This one is far better IMHO. I have it and no regrets at all!

Q: 7. What size slot is required to install these speakers?

A: There is a template included in the box to guide the cutout in the wall, but here are some of the dimensions. The Cutout Dimensions are 7 5/8" (19.2cm) diameter Overall Dimensions are 9" x 2 3/8" D (22.9cm x 6.0cm) Depth assumption 1/2" drywall 2 3/8" (6.0cm)

Q: 8. Can a dj-style mixer be connected directly to these monitors? Do they need an amplifier or DSP in between? I was thinking about using these for my small home sound system. I have a turntable and a CD player connected to a mixer, which currently feeds into an enormous old Pioneer Digital Signal Processor unit (that gets pretty hot), and I have big old passive event-sized speakers connected to the DSP. I would like to replace the giant speakers with something smaller that will sound good for the space, and I'd *like* to eliminate the DSP unit if possible. But I can't tell from the product info here or on the manufacturer's website if I'm thinking about this correctly or not.

A: These speakers can be connected directly to the outputs of a dj mixer via the two TRS 1/4'' jacks, or the rca inputs on the back. These can also be connected to a DSP units outputs in the same way. Please note, these speakers are already powered by a built in amp, and can not take a connection from a speaker amplifier.

Q: 9. Can these ATH-R70x headphones be properly powered by an iphone or do they need to be connected to an amplifier?

A: You wouldn't need an external amplifier these headphones. You could get better performance out of them if you did however.

Q: 10. Can I use this to connect the 2 line XLR outputs from a Sound Devices Mix Pre-D to the Sound Devices 633 TA3 inputs?

A: The Remote Audio CA744INL Dual XLR to Dual TA3 Channel 3/4 Input Cable can be used to connect the 2 line XLR outputs from a Sound Devices Mix Pre-D to the Sound Devices 633 TA3 inputs.
