$8,475.00 $10,339.50

Featuring a retro look inspired by the vintage CM 51/3 mic and top-shelf internals resulting from extensive development, the blue Schoeps V4 U is a cardioid studio condenser microphone that combines the transparency of small-diaphragm capsule architecture with the narrowed high-frequency polar response of a large-diaphragm mic. The result is a premier transducer that delivers pleasing tonality (on- and off-axis) for sources ranging from vocals to an array of acoustic instruments.

With a priority on clarity and clean sound, the V4 U utilizes a transformerless output stage devoid of coupling capacitors. Extraneous handling noise is reduced by the capsule's internal elastic suspension, and the RFI filter and gapless shielding yield excellent resistance to interference. The capsule head can be tilted ±20 degrees to ensure optimal positioning with ease. The V4 U is compatible with stand clamps and shockmounts (available separately).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I believe the capsule is exchangeable on this model. Where can I find them?

A: According to the manufacturer website, capsules are non interchangeable for this model microphone.

Q: 2. What is the self noise of the Blue Ember? I have been looking at tech specs on the Blue website and other sources and can't seem to find the stated self noise.

A: The manufacturer has not provided any specifications for self noise on the Blue Ember microphone. You can contact Blue Microphones directly to ask if they can provide this information to you. You can reach them by phone at 866-989-2583.

Q: 3. Would this be a good mic for recording a rally if crossed and paired with the zoom h6?

A: Yes, it is an excellent little mike that could be used with just about any recorder with a powered input. The Zoom does have that. I bought two of them to augment the AT-2050 mikes that I already have, to record close-up sounds such as the singer or the piano in a band. Small and versatile.

Q: 4. Can I use this Sennheiser XS 1 with a mirror less camera?

A: If your camera has an 1/8'' mic input on it, you can use the Kopul XRSM cable (BH #KOXRSM15B) to connect the Sennheiser XS 1 handheld XLR connection microphone to it.

Q: 5. What is the mic diameter?

A: The PreSonus M7 Cardioid Condenser Microphone has a specified diameter of 2.13 inches.

Q: 6. Will it work with the Canon Rebel T7?

A: No, the BOYA BY-MM1 Mini Cardioid Condenser Microphone is not compatible for use with the Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR Camera because the camera does not have an input to connect an external microphone. You would need to connect the BOYA mic to a separate audio recorder.

A: The RODE NT3 3/4" Cardioid Condenser Microphone comes with the RODE Stand Mount for NT3, 4, and Other Condenser Microphones (B&H # RORM3), but you can use a shock mount like the Rycote InVision INV-HG mkIII Microphone Suspension - Lyre Shockmount (B&H # RYINVHGMKIII) or the Rycote INV-BH InVision Microphone Suspension for Stand and Boompole Mounting (B&H # RYIVBH), which will both accommodate the NT3 on a stand or boompole.

A: This mic requires Plug-in Power from either a camera, recorder, or smartphone over the trs or trrs mic input connection.

Q: 9. When I click in the box it says the set has limited warranties on the items already is this true?

A: The items in this vocal studio kit do have manufacturer's warranties included.

Good microphone set for recording guitar and voice. The AT2020 is a little on the heavy side so, if you use a boom microphone stand, be sure it's a good quality stand that can support it.

2020 - Smooth lows, crisp highs, and natural midrange. A fantastic mic at a very good value. 2021 - Excellent for highs and midrange. Unfortunally gets overwhelmed easily by lows. However, for most of its applications that is not a problem.

I'm using the microphones for ADR and Foley on a short film project I'm doing. They've performed fantastically - and integrated with my Zoom H4N (Note: You'll need to provide Phantom Power).
