It folds very flat and I always have one tucked in the roller when ever I have to fly. It's a pain but takes me 45 seconds to transfer equipment back and forth. Gives me peace of mind and the equipment always stays with me. I never have to fight with the airline agent and the are happy to take care your empty roller.
