The GY-HC500SPCN 4K NDI-Enabled Professional Camcorder from JVC is an updated, NDI-enabled model with all the same features as the original GY-HC500SPC UHD 4K camcorder. It captures video in both NTSC and PAL compatible frame rates and is designed to seamlessly work with traditional as well as NDI and IP workflows. This model also features both scoreboard and broadcast overlays, built-in GPS, sports metadata tagging, and real-time updates via the Sportzcast/Genius Sports SCORELINK devices. The camera incorporates a 1" CMOS sensor and an integrated 20x optical zoom lens, and it can create a 40x digital zoom. The camera can capture in UHD, HD, and SD, and you can record SD as proxy, recording up to 30p to the built-in media card slots or 60/50p to an optional SSD. The camera supports HDR by recording in HLG or JLog1 (10-bit).

The GY-HC500SPCN captures in various flavors of ProRes, as well as MP4, and it is capable of streaming HD over IP via a wired connection. The integrated 20x zoom lens features three manual control rings for iris, focus, and zoom. The EVF features LCOS technology and over 1.2 million dots of resolution, while the built-in flip-out LCD viewfinder is just under 4" diagonally. The camera features IFB and return video over IP, as well as auto FTP, so your video files transfer automatically. It has two SDHC/SDXC card slots and features a slot for an optional M.2 SSD (requires optional media adapter caddy) for capturing UHD at 60/50p.

This model is NDI (Network Device Interface) enabled. NDI is a leading technology that allows hardware- and software-based video devices to communicate and collaborate over any standard Ethernet-based network. Among its many benefits is the reduction of hardware required to operate, and the ability to send multiple video streams over a single connection. It also allows for multiple video sources to be managed in real time with the easy-to-use NDI Discovery function of the network.

A: Yes, the Varizoom VZROCK-J600 JVC Zoom/Focus/Iris Controller (BH #VAVZROCKJ600). This is designed for JVC camcorders that feature a 2.5mm control input.

Q: 2. What receiver do I need to get live feed from this camera? I wish to fed from cam to receiver to a converter to capture the live feed into a laptop. Q. 2. What is the transmission distance in Line of Sight to receiver? LoSight?

A: You may use the following link to view all of the wireless transmission systems that are compatible with the JVC GY-HC550 Handheld Connected Cam 1" 4K Broadcast Camcorder. See: https://bhpho.to/3ArC1md From there you will need to send the video signal from the receiver to a capture card or a encoder which will allow your computer to intake the video signal and use it as a stream source.
