A: I bought this over a year ago and to the best of my memory it came with some points. However, I would recommend buying points with the driver. You will go through the points that came with the driver very quickly and the points are inexpensive.

Q: 2. The description says power cord not included. What type of power cord is needed?

A: You have to wire it to the main switch you use to turn your gear on. This way when you turn on whatever master switch you are using to turn everything on the sign lights up. When you finish working and shut down the light will go out. Normally in studios they used to be wired to the tape machine transport so once you pressed play the sign would go on.

A: No, this particular Sandies 340 RECORDING Light features a built-in 110 VAC to 12 VDC LED driver that allows you to use 110 VAC power. The 12 VDC version is MFR# 340-REC-12 which we should be able to order for you. Please contact us by phone if that is the one that you would like to order as we do not have it listed on the website. As another option, we do have the TecNec Industry-Standard Warning Light - Recording, 12 VDC (B&H # TES340REC12) which is a similar light that operates with 12 VDC.

A: This particular light is meant to be wired directly to electric within the room, and which could be controlled via a light switch in the room. An alternative to this would be to purchase the 12v version (BH #SAND34012) with an optional power supply (B&H # SA65356) and turn it on and off via a surge protector.

A: The ENTTEC Pixelator Mini LED Pixel Converter (B&H # EN70067) may have slightly improved maximum potential output, but it should be compatible with any previous setup that used the prior model without a visible difference.

A: Good question. I believe there a few different ways to accomplish this install to be compatible with a wireless remote switch. You would have to do some research on that however. One way I know of is using a pico wireless remote and a Lutron PowPak RMJ-5R-DV-B. They are compatible together. The pico can be used as a portable remote device or it can be installed using a wall adapter. The powpak could be mounted right o. The side of a junction box or it could probably fit inside of the recording light fixture. There's plenty of room inside. I believe there's a 30' range on these devices. That's just one quick way of doing it for about $150-$200.

A: You can rotate the light to adjust the wash angle.
