The Hawk-Woods RP-HS1A Reel-Power Hot-Swap V-Mount Battery Plate for ALEXA Mini adapter offers the user the use of 26v Reel Power batteries. This adapter comes fully equipped with outputs consisting of 4 x D-Tap 12V, 2 x LEMO, and 2 x RS 24v outputs.

This adapter offers you a hot swap solution, with a chassis mounted 8-Pin LEMO on the side of the adapter, allowing you the use of 12V / 24V floor batteries. The camera will always select the battery with the highest voltage until they meet the same, then they will run down together. The RP-HS1A comes with a fixed flying lead to the camera.

A: No, unfortunately, the Hawk-Woods Mini V-Lok Battery Plate for Shogun/Ninja is only compatible with the Shogun/Ninja Inferno/Flame series monitors, as they have 2 battery slots that this unit fits into. The Ninja V only has one battery slot and this battery unit will not fit.

Using multiple cameras with my Oben BA-2 head, I found it time consuming to switch out QR plates while in the field. With another RP-20, I can swap out cameras onto the same head without loosing time.This heavy duty plate also fits the Oben's PD-117, BA-117, BA-126, BA-117T, BA-126T, BA-1, BA-1T, BA-2T & VH-R2 ball heads. 5

If you use more than one camera or have a long, heavy lens such as the Canon 100-400L you will want one of these items for each. It is a hassle to keep changing one release plate between pieces of equipment. Considering the low cost of these things that is an unnecessary annoyance. 5
