Q: 4. How does this work on uneven terrain? Does the foot pivot?

A: The Manfrotto VR PIXI EVO Kit is designed for flat surfaces and floors. The length and angle of each of the feet can be adjusted to work on slightly uneven terrain, but I would not recommend this tripod for very uneven terrain.

Q: 5. There is a significant price difference between the black version of this arm ($123) and the silver version ($170). That is a big difference for a difference in color. Are the two versions the same in features? Is the silver version made of a higher grade metal?

A: Currently the price difference is not as broad as this. As to why there is a any difference in price, we would go with the explanation the chrome plating costs more. Also know that retail pricing is not linear. It is based on cost, supply and demand. Those factors are what determine price. A much cheaper price might reflect too much inventory and the product must be moved. A high price might reflect short supply and high demand as well as manufacturing cost.
