The light blue, 3TB LTO-5 Ultrium RW Data Cartridge from HPE is a re-writable tape offering high storage density, ease of management and scalable storage and backup performance. It features read speeds up to 280 MB/s. The LTO Ultrium cartridge memory chip delivers faster access time and enhanced media monitoring. Secure AES 256-bit encryption prevents unauthorized data access. The Ultrium Linear Tape File System makes tape as easy, flexible, portable and intuitive as other removable, shareable media.

The 'smart grabber' mechanism and mechanical interlock prevent the leader pin from being pulled inside the tape housing. Sensors detect proper connection and prevent leader loss that would ruin the tape. Additionally, a simplified tape path reduces wear and tear and buildup of debris. HPE's own stringent qualification test procedures for load/unload, drop testing, environmental stress testing and more ensure maximum reliability in data restoration. The cartridge is designed to retain its archival quality for up to 30 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely quick to setup. Quick to startup. Fast printing. Has support for WiFi printing, which is fantastic - esp for the price! That is, once the printer is setup the first time to connect to WiFi, other machines on the same network will see the printer and be able to use it. The USB connection can then be entirely disconnected. It's the cheapest and smallest network printer I've ever seen or used. It's also cute with a small footprint and an overall appealing design, and doesn't look like an ancient monstrosity - unlike most other printing devices. 5

The LaserJet Pro M15w prints quickly and with sharp clean lines. Set up was a pain but since that may have been me and not the printer I am giving it 5 stars. 5

I use this to archvie 4K digital cinema data, using a tape library to back up a RAID. The tapes are expensive and the process is slow and cumbersome, but it is probably the most stable format for archiving digital data. If you are developing a new system, you'll probably want LTO-6, but if you're already on LTO-5, this product is just fine. Keep in mind that eventually you will need custom labels, so buy a bunch of them in advance. 5
