Fujichrome Provia 100F Professional RDP-III from FUJIFILM is a daylight-balanced color transparency film that exhibits a super-fine grain structure with vivid and naturally appearing colors and rich tonal rendition. It has a medium-speed nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21° when processed in E-6, CR-56, or C6R processes and can effectively be pulled one half stop or pushed two stops with Minimal variations in color balance and gradation. Excellent reciprocity characteristics also make this film highly suitable for use during long exposures and ensures consistent film speeds and coloring across multiple and extended exposures. Medium overall contrast and saturation make this film ideal for use in a wide range of photographic applications and is especially well-suited for use in product, landscape, nature, portraiture, and fashion photography.

This item is one box of 20 sheets of 4 x 5" color reversal film.

Q: 4. Is it good for star trail photography over 1hour of exposure?

A: Provia works well for star trails. No discernible color aberrations. You might find that an exposure of 2 to 3 hours works better at a smaller aperture. Result is longer star trails. Point toward the North Star and away from light pollution

Q: 5. how long is rdp vaild

A: The current boxes of FUJIFILM Fujichrome Provia 100F Professional RDP-III Color Transparency Film (8 x 10", 20 Sheets) available in our warehouse expiration date is for December 2023.

Q: 6. What is the expiration date?

A: The expiration date will vary depending on purchase date as stock is consistently changing. All film is within the expiration date, though.

Q: 7. Is there a way to know the expiration date of the film? I wouldnt want to buy this much at once and then realize I only have 2 months to use all of it.

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

Q: 8. Where do get the film developed?

A: One can get FUJIFILM Fujichrome Provia 100F Professional RDP-III Color Transparency Film develped at the Imaging Coliseum on 31st St in New York City.

Q: 9. What is the expiry of this film?Thank you.

A: The expiration date of the RVP 135-36 Fujichrome Velvia 50 Professional Color Slide Film (ISO-50) is at least 6 months away. While we cannot give the exact expiration date of the film, any film on our site that was within 6 months of its expiration date would be sold as short dated and specifically listed as such on our site.

Q: 10. How long is the RDP valid?

A: Typically the exp. date is 1 year out.

What can I say? Its 2019 and I refuse to stop shooting film.   I do not use color print film too much anymore, and Provia and Velvia have become my go tos.   Now, for full disclosure,  Provia and Velvia are basically the only 2 slide films on the market these days, but even before they were, I used them extensively.  While I did like good ole Kodachrome, I did not like Ektachrome at all.   I use Provia in both 35mm and 120 (645 and 6X7) formats, and you just cannot beat the colors, sharpness, fine grain structure, etc.  Why use Provia instead of Velvia 50?  They are 2 different films, and should be used as such.  Velvia 50 is a finer grained film, and renders punchier, Technicolor-esq, colors.  For certain types of shooting it does outperform Provia (think of a 16x20 poster sized print from a 6x7 slide, of a landscape) .  BUT...…. If your shoot is going to consist of people, load your camera with Provia and forget it.   Provia is the best choice for skin tones today. Its not as perfect as Fujis now (unfortunately)  discontinued Astia was, but Provia does render natural skin tones (IMHO), where Velvia does not. You can (slightly) improve the over the top pink skin tones that Velvia does render, by using an 81B filter, in a pinch. But Id rather just use the Provia.  I hope Fuji realizes that they have cornered the market (by default) with an EXCELLENT product, and continue to manufacture it for many, many years.

I recently pulled the development by 2 stops after over exposing. Wow. Just wonderful. Such reliable film. Slight magenta cast easily adjusted.

Until the new Ektachrome offers 8x10, the Provia is the only 8x10 colour slide available off the shelf. And luckily it is the cream of the crop especially for long exposures. I hope Fuji can continue making this.

In this world of digital everything, its a sweet pleasure to take out a Rollei TLR or Pentax 645 and run a roll of Provia 100F through it. Life slows down as you compose each shot rather than do the digital spray and pray. Each shot matters and viewing the results through a good loupe is a real joy!

I just love this film. Provia F is the most natural looking transparency film I have ever shot. I loved Kodachrome, I miss it terribly, but like Kodachrome in a different way Provia F is also in a class by itself.

I love the colors you get with this film. As usual, B&H was on the ball and delivered on time and at a great price.

Provia 100F has been my primary film (followed closely by Velvia) for over 25 years ..and counting! One of the reasons I continue to shoot film exclusively.

I seldom shoot color film of any kind; I prefer black and white. But sometimes it just has to be used. I have tried Provia, Portra, and Ektar, but Provia is the sweet spot.

The colors are close to true life, with just a bit of pop. Not great for skin tones (Portra is way better), but not the clown-like color of Ektar. I love it for anything floral or otherwise plant-related. And the tonal range is spectacular.

I ran out of Provia recently, and had to substitute Portra for some shots. They look great, but they lack the extra pop. And the Portra was way more fragile. I spent a long time cleaning up scratches on the negatives, something I never have to do with Provia.
