...you'll probably want one of these. In the long run rechargeables make perfect sense.

Keeping 2 dozen AA & AAA batteries ready is much easier when you can analyze their charge, discharge them to refill properly, and top up a partly used single battery. The Pearstone charger lets you get more involved with your rechargeables - at a budget price.

Simple to use & performs it's function every time. I only wish it charged a little faster. I would recommend this equip so much so that I've purchased a second unit.

I use for recharging AA batteries for speedlights and other electronics. Its much more reliable than the lesser rechargers I tried previously. Charges, fully, quickly and the readout is reliable. Useful in identifying faulty or dead batteries. I love the 8 bays too. Can't comment on reliability yet but it seems well made.

Between battery grips, strobes, and wireless triggers I need to charge dozens of AA batteries for a shoot. I bought three of these, and now can pop in two dozen at a time, walk away, and know that the chargers will individually top off each battery and then turn off. I've used faster chargers, but am not happy with how hot they make the cells. These still make the cells warm, but at a level I'm comfortable with. This takes charging to a new level of sophistication and convenience.

If you use rechargeable batteries, this is a must. I love that each battery is charged on it's own circuit so the all gat fully charged, and not just charged until the first one is full. The Discharge feature is also great, and valuable to refresh batteries.

Smartest AA charger that I could find. No need to worry about over charging, undercharging and automatically recognizes AA/AAA batteries. Good user interface and feels like a quality product

This charger shows what level of charge is left in your batteries. Each battery has a display for it's current charge level(there are 8 displays, one display for each battery.) This is so very useful. Also, this charger is quite compact, and well designed. It is professional, and not cheap looking. The automatic shutoff feature is great, so that when each battery reaches it's fully charged state, the battery charger will stop charging that battery, and keep charging all the other batteries until they are charged too. It comes with 2 styles of cords, depending on where you want to charge your batteries. One cord is for your standard house receptacle, the other is for a car's cigarette lighter receptacle. If your professional, or wanting to have professional results, I would highly recommend buying this charger to keep for many years to come. It will work using a 120v power supply, or a 240 volt power supply, so this makes it handy if you are travelling overseas. It will charge AA batteries, and AAA batteries too. Also, it charges in 4 hours, and you do not have to wait overnight like some chargers. The best batteries for flash, the word has it, is the Sony Eneloop AA batteries. They are NiMH. I bought the 2000MaH ones. Also, I bought, an external battery pack holder, that holds 8 AA batteries. This is necessary to get consistent flash output, and faster recycle times from your mounted to camera external flash.
