A: The Canon PowerShot PICK PTZ is designed to be a stand alone robotic stills camera. It does not support ONVIF or offer network connection capability. It would not work with surveillance setups that support Network cameras.

Q: 4. Hi, i'd love answers to four questions. Is this an infra red remote control? Does it come with the ir receiver if it is? Is it rs 485? Can it open the on screen menu for a camera?

A: This is a IR remote control. That actually is a picture of our remote that comes with our Lecture Capture LC102 device. Although it will control our PTZ cameras, we have a PTZ remote control that will have more functionality including opening camera controls. I'm going to assume that B&H simply imported the wrong image to go with the description. It doesn't come with a receiver. Not sure of the RS 485 question. Let me know of any other questions. Q: 6. we just started using the -1071. We have not been able to get then Line In to work. We use this for church services at the beach and the camera completely whites out with an early morning sun behind the camera, Have to use manual exposure which degraded the video. is the -1081 better suited for bright conditions? Really have never had a camera white out when in Auto Exposure. My GoPro, MEVO Start all work excellently. i just needed to be able to pan around.

A: The white out condition happens with auto exposure when the camera has to overcompensate for a extreme low light scenario. For example if the camera is pointed at subjects who are in silhouette. A camera in auto will not have the knowledge that a shooter would have who can set the exposure manually. The camera in auto sees the image in this low light and says its way too dark let me open way up to compensate. The effect is a whiteout. What I suggest is to place the camera where there is exposure in general, not in too low light. Having typed all this, the aperture for both cameras is basically the same. So I would say it is not the camera but the nature of auto exposure.
