This EX-330Q Tripod with 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head supports up to 4.4 lb, measures 19.9" when folded, and includes a quick release plate. Its 3-section legs each feature flip locks for fast deployment, and can be positioned for a minimum height of 19.7" to a maximum height of 45.3", or 57.5" with its push-and-pull, rapid center column fully raised. An integrated center brace allows the legs to be spread simultaneously as well as uniformly, and helps to hold them in place. A rubber foot is included on the bottom of each leg, further enhancing stability on a wide variety of surfaces.

Cameras, sport optics, or camcorders that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the quick release plate, which is secured to the tripod's pan-and-tilt head using a quick release cam lock. The head can be rotated 360°, tilted 60° backwards, 90° forwards, or 90° sideways for portrait orientation. Both the 360° rotation as well as the backward or forward tilt movements function simultaneously and can be set in place using the pan bar's integrated twist lock. When changing from a landscape to portrait orientation, the sideways tilt can be independently adjusted and secured.

A carry bag with a strap is provided for storage and transport.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. New to tripods. Question regarding quick release fit. Do plates fit a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT5?

A: Yes, as far as I know cameras come with a standard size threaded hole in the bottom that will match the screw on the quick release plate. Quick release plates from different tripods likely won't match. I have a couple of this type tripod. They are light-weight, inexpensive, and good for day excursions. Not super stable (especially with a heavy camera on top), but better than handheld in low light, etc. For more serious stuff I have a Manfrotto tripod. It's pretty heavy for quick hikes, but solid as a rock. Hope that helps.

Q: 2. Will this support a Nikon D610 w/Nikon Nikkor 28-300 lens hands free?

A: I am not sure why do you want to use this tripod with that system, I under stood that this tripod is for mainly for macro photo or table-top photo, I'd rather go regular size tripod if I use your lens, How about check your gear weight and tripod spec?

Q: 3. It's possible to buy a ball head for this model of tripod ? Regards

A: A ball head such as the Slik SBH-120 DQ Compact Ballhead 120 with Quick Release - Supports 4.5 lbs (2kg) B&H # SLBH120DQ can fit the 1/4 thread on the base of this tripod.

Q: 4. Does this tripod have rubber feet? I'm trying to find something that would not slide on a smooth surface.

A: Yes. The feet on the EX-Mini (at the time that I bought mine) are rubberized. There may be surfaces on which they would still slide, but I tried it on wood, plastic and glass without slipping.Hope this helps.

Q: 5. when it is in the lowest position at 8 what is messurement of the area the legs cover?

A: I'm afraid Velbon does not list the exact specs for how much area the legs will cover when this tripod is only 8 inches from the ground. However we can tell you that it will take up a very small amount of room when configured like that.

Q: 6. What is the minimum shooting height with this tripod

A: The minimum shooting height on this tripod is 8 inches.

Q: 7. Does this tripod purchase include ONE quick release shoe?

A: Yes, the U9000 come with one quick release shoe. Q. R. shoes are available separately by ordering catalog # 618-731.

Q: 8. I now the quick release plate for this tripod is QB-32 but I can not find it anywhere. Do you know if QB-4W, QB-5W or QB-57K would also fit it?

A: For the Velbon EX-Macro Aluminum Tabletop Tripod and other Velbon EX line tripods, you can use the QB-46 quick release plate: http://bhpho.to/1ewLFPh

Q: 9. Would this support a Nikon D750 with 24-120mm lens?

A: I'm not an expert, but I'm guessing it would. It's very sturdy, and I use mine with a similar sized camera, out in the woods, at all kinds of odd angles. So far the camera has not shifted position once.

Q: 10. To what height does this extend to?

A: Legs measured 44 7/8 long: Base 4 7/8 = 49.575 Extenders were very sturdy for my useI don't have an extender.

I was looking for a camera mount for my desk and this fits the bill perfectly. The adjustable height and angles was exactly what I needed to set up my webcam.

For me it hit the sweet spot of being a tabletop tripod that's small/light enough to ship or travel with, while still offering enough vertical range and strength to be useful, all while being very affordable. Seems fairly well designed and built. Love the quick leg latches/snaps (hate twisty leg extensions...). Prefer the pan/tilt head over a ballhead, and thankful for the quick-release plate.

I wasn't sure if I should get a 2 way or 3 way tripod and I am happy I made the choice to get 3 way. The quality of the product is great and it is very useful. I am personally using it for jewelry photography so it sits infront of my lightbox perfectly. It does not extend very long though if you try to use a very low table, it might still be too short. It is strictly for tabletop use.

We were packing light and I anticipated some night time long exposure shots. This one worked out very well. Light, not as compact as others but more flexible as to be taller.

This is as advertised, well made and sturdy, easy to adjust. I was happy to discover that the up-and-down arm (no idea what it's called, I'm not a video guy) is not in the shot when I flip the screen so I can record myself playing the guitar close up, and easily make height adjustments.

Just to clear you guys I'm not getting any advantage from B&H to review this tripod. After searching for hours I finally decided to buy this tripod and it was also under my budget. The great thing about this tripod is the quality, it doesn't feel cheap and body is made up of brushed aluminium. Pros : Strong and durable. Cons: The quick release plate is a bit loose but I tried to shake the tripod to see if the camera will fell but it stayed in place. I will recommend it ! If you don't like it than you can always return it due to B&H amazing policy. :)
