Q: 1. Is it fast enough for focus pulling?

A: The ATOM 600 KV offers a 600 feet (182.8m) line of sight transmission range, with a claimed latency of less than 80ms. You can switch between image priority or latency priority to fit your needs.

Q: 2. Is there any solution for powering it without a v mount battery, for use on a gimbal?

A: The Vaxis ATOM 600 could be used for multi-camera live streaming. Depending on the amount of wireless signals and obstructions in your shooting area, you may or may not experience signal interference.

Q: 6. Does it transmit Timecode as part of the SDI stream?

A: Yes, the Timecode is sent with the signal.

Q: 7. Can the TX unit be powered by USB-C?

I've been looking for a long time for a monopod head that quick-changes from horizontal to vertical for use at events or outdoor portraiture. THIS IS THE ONE! Quality build and ease of use. I've found my head.

Beautifully designed and constructed with a simple, useful manual. It was helpful to discover that you can turn the quick release base 180 degrees to have the two knobs opposite each other.

I use a carbon fiber Monopod for a lot of my product photography. Most of the time I use a Ball Head mount but that can give me a little too much freedom of motion. I love that the Oben VH-A30 is literally on rails. Attach your camera via the padded mounting bracket you have 180 degrees of motion. It's not too heavy and it's built to be solid and long-lasting. The motion is fluid and smooth which helps me dial in those critical angles. Once your camera is mounted the security of your gear is not even a question and you can shoot with confidence as you tilt, lean and lift your monopod all day. When you buy this, you won't be disappointed in the least, it's a fantastic head especially for the price! ![I received this product in exchange for my honest review.]

Actually, this is my first standalone head. Most of the time, I typically purchase a tripod built in. I bought this tilt head over a ball head because of my use case with the super telephoto (Fuji 100-400mm) lens which allows me to rotate the lens from landscape to portrait.

I mounted this head on the 3 Legged Thing Trent and the combination works well.

This head solves the biggest issue with monopods: they're all well and good when moving your camera from side to side; but when you're trying to tilt up or down they're mostly useless. Enter this tilt head.

It's small, weighs next to nothing, and does its job like a champ. Mounting your camera (ideally via the lens foot) is quick and easy, and the tilt action is nice and smooth.

I was initially worried about the lack of a tension control, but after using it for a bit I see that there's really no need - the main knob is smooth and has enough travel so you can easily set your desired tension that way. I am able to go nearly instantly from completely loose to a spot where it was just tight enough that I could still move the camera with a bit of pressure.

The instruction manual mentions that the knob is reversible. I figured that was more of a gimmick than anything else, but after a couple hours of use I noticed the knob was beginning to dig into my hand. A quick flip to the other side and the problem was gone. I suppose it all comes down to what exactly your preferred hand placement is, so being able to move the knob to the other side may turn out quite helpful to some.

As far as durability, overall I'm very happy so far. It bounced around and got covered in dirt and mud when I took it to Africa, and it behaved perfectly well throughout. It's solidly built, so it should last me a good number of years.

Recommended by the B & H staff for use with the Robus RCM-633 Monopd. See my review of that product. This device is versatile and solidly built. The top mounting plate which accepts the quick release assembly can be rotated to change the position of the knobs, and the mounting stud in the base can be adapted to accept either a 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 monopod/tripod screw. I purchased this to hold a Nikon D750 with the Tamron 150-600 G2 lens, a very heavy combo, and I'm glad I did. My only knock (which could equally apply to the monopod) is the smooth aluminum base which sits atop the smooth plastic base of the Robus. I would have preferred a non-slip rubber pad (see the top of the quick release plate) on one or the other to improve grip and mitigate against the risk of loosening or rotation.

I have a tripod with a 3-way tilt-pan head replacing the ball head it came with. I put the ball head on my new monopod, Later on I discovered this Oben Tilt Head browsing the B&H site. It's better on a monopod than the ball head was. It provides only the movement that I need with more control than a ball head.
Nice product!
