Many times I shoot close-ups in manual using my Nikon D810, Nikon R1C1 speedlights, Pocketwizard radio transceivers, laptop computer and reflectors. I always need to take light readings using my Sekonic L358 meter while composing my shots. For me, the slightest hot spots, shadows or refelections on the subject means an unacceptable shot.
