A: While both kits have the same height, their respective locking mechanisms are different. The standard Autopole requires the user to push a release button to unlock the lever and reduce the height. The deluxe Autopole would require the user to simply pull the level downward and toward them to reduce the height. For those who need to set up backgrounds on a less permanent basis, the Deluxe AutoPole 2 Expan Kit is a better option.
