  • true:balance is a metering plug-in that will make sure you've got all the info you need on the spectral distribution of your mix. All the displayed readouts as well as their visualizations are designed to ensure that you won’t have to second-guess what you are seeing.
  • true:balance’s key readouts are supported by target indicators, allowing you to see whether your track is close to the values of your chosen reference. The channel data section displays all you need to know about the stereo width and correlation of your mix and, hence, the mono compatibility o f your mix.

Since the right spectral distribution has a lot to do with listening expectations, genre-based references are great for comparing your mix. true:balance's included references draw from a vast amount of audio data and hands-on mixing experience. When you want consistency across an entire project, go for the option of loading up to 8 reference tracks.

  • true:balance is designed for professionals as well as ambitious bedroom producers. The latter will appreciate hints that tell you which modifications your mix requires to approach your selected reference values.
  • There is a Balance Check that analyzes the current spectral distribution of your signal then compares it with your reference and gives you text-based suggestions. Mono Check points out any potential problems concerning the mono compatibility of your mix.

Q: 1. does this product also come with a receiver that connects to the flash unit?

A: No it does not. You will need the TT1 transmitter for the camera. http://bhpho.to/18bD2NC

Q: 2. I have a TPSCPOE 1248 solar powered PoE injector. It does 48V, .625A output, which makes it line up with 802.3at standard. I need the output to go to 24V passive poe for an access point. Would this work for that?

A: Indeed it will as that is what it is designed to do. From the Quick Start guide: PoE In Gigabit 802.3af PoE port: Connect this port to an auto-sensing 802.3af PoE Switch. The switch will automatically activate PoE. PoE Out Gigabit 24V passive PoE port: Connect this port to a 24V passive PoE device.

Q: 6. I am using flextt5 and need to synch with LiteTrek 4.0 DC Monolight . What synch cable do I use? I could guess but don't want to do trial and error approach.

A: You would need a mini to mini sync cable (B&H # IMMMMM16)

Q: 7. I am planning to get two FlexTT5's; one for my D7100 & other for my SB-910. Pls guide whether I need to purchase any other cable/cords apart from the two FlexTT5's.

A: Nothing else would be needed; all items necessary to use your setup together would be included with the PocketWizard FlexTT5 Transceiver Remotes. The FlexTT5 would connect to the top of the hot shoe on the Nikon D7100 DSLR camera, and would connect to the hot shoe on the bottom of the Nikon SB-910 Speedlight Flash. The batteries needed to operate the FlexTT5 are included with the units.

Q: 8. Can the TT5 be used in conjunction with the Nikon Creative Lighting System? Such as using the CLS to trigger a key and fill light but then have the PW trigger a flash for a kicker that is out of site from the IR of the CLS commander.

A: Being that the TT5 operates via radio frequency, it would not work with the Nikon CLS system which uses line of sight. What you could do is use the Pocket Wizard Mini TT1 Transmitter, B&H # WIMTT1N on your camera and have a TT5 transceiver on each flash set off camera. To control the other flashes off camera, you can either use a Pocket Wizard AC3 Zone Controller, B&H # WIAC3N on top of the Mini TT1 or you can place another Nikon speedlight on there which has a master function.
