Q: 1. Is the POE+ spec really required to make this run off of a POE switch? The wattage of this unit is within both the per-port and overall wattage of my existing POE (non POE+) switch. Just wondering if I need to upgrade my switch first.

A: A POE+ switch is not required.Per the quick start, any 802.3af/802.3at PoE+ compliant switch.The UAP-AC-PRO uses standard 48V POE, so any compliant switch will work - as is what you have stated that you have.It's the non-PRO versions that don't use standard POE.

Q: 2. Does each one of the modules require hardwire (RJ45) connection to main unit?

A: This unit will need to be connected to a switch for POE power

Q: 3. This unit has two network ports. Can each be plugged into a different network and have an SSID that connects to a specific port?

A: No it supports only data pass through for the same network.

Q: 4. Is the power adapter included or is this something we have to buy in addition. Can you clarify which one is true? Hoping it is included.

A: This is accurate. The PoE adaptor comes with the single units. The multipacks do not come with any PoE adaptors.FYI: You will need still a cat5e or cat6 patch cable to go between the PoE and the AP.

Q: 5. Will this work with Verizon fios router or will i need a POE injector? Any other surprises i may run into?

A: You will need to use the PoE injector. Routers don't have PoE ports in general. The PoE injector is included.

Q: 6. The BH listing shows this includes 5 Pieces but I only see three pieces. What am I missing?

A: Included in the box are 5 access points.

Q: 7. Does this AP have a WebUI or does it need a Wireless controller to be managed?

A: Ubiquiti Networks UniFi U6 Enterprise Wi-Fi 6E Tri-Band Access Point requires a UniFi Network Application to be installed on a server or computer locally in order to facilitate online management of the device.

Q: 8. Will you supply an Australian power supply cord with this?

A: No. This is a (US) model. There are international UAPs. Also, please note that since this is 802.11af POE compliant, any decent POE switch can power it.

Q: 9. We installed one unit in the guest bedroom and the neon glows a bit much, can we cover the unit with material to dim the glow?

A: Hi! Rather than physically covering the unit, you may want to consider simply disabling the built in LED. To do this (using the desktop UniFi controller software): Login to the UniFi controller -- Select Settings (Gear icon) --Select Site -- Uncheck the option to enable the status LED -- Select Apply Changes. Please note that this applies to all of the access points you manage (unless you have set-up multiple sites); if you have more than one access point, all of their LEDs will be disabled. If you are using the mobile application to manage your device(s), the ability to disable the LED is coming in a future update. As for physically covering the unit, I suppose you could do so with minimal effects (depending on the material), but I would strongly suggest disabling the LED over covering the unit. The last thing you want is to adversely affect the signal emitted from the device.

A: No the Ubiquiti Networks UAP-AC-IW-US UniFi Access Point Enterprise Wi-Fi System is intended for indoors only.
