A: A large video library for a production company was duplicated on 2 of these drives. One is with me to work with my Mac. The other is with my editor and his PC and AVID set up. We have only had the drives since October 2016. A 1TB Glyph RAID drive did fail after 6 years. So I do not think the size of the drive matters. The 1TB drive was kept indoors in an edit facility. Sometimes S*** happens.

A: Mike, My experience with B & H was distinctly unhelpful. (And I have bought a lot of stuff from B & H). But when I needed B & H to exhibit the simplest measure of consideration, it refused. Consequently, I cannot encourage anyone to purchase anything from B & H. By contrast, my experience with customer service/tech support at Glyph Technologies was beyond outstanding. A: This drive comes preformatted for Mac.

A: There's a switch on the back to change from RAID 0 and 1. Mine came in RAID 1 and I didn't want to change it to RAID 0, but my guess is the change isn't too complicated, especially when the drive is empty.
