The new generation encoder features an HDMI input and loop output that can handle up to UHD 4K30 and a 3G-SDI input and loop output that supports up to 1080p60. Boasting a low <100ms latency, the E3 is Ideal for a variety of live production applications including remote transmission and live streaming. It features an up-to-date chipset that provides simultaneous streaming to up to 16 different destinations with eight main stream 1080p signals and eight sub stream 720p signals. A 3.5mm line input can ingest analog audio while digital audio can be brought in embedded via HDMI and 3G-SDI and converted into multiple formats including AAC, MPEG-4, MPEG-3, MPEG-2, Opus, or G.711. A 1.14" LCD screen allows you to monitor information regarding connectivity, IP address, CPU, memory, resolution, temperature, and tally status all in real time. A single Ethernet cable can provide PoE (Power over Ethernet) and reduce cable clutter around the unit.

The E3 allows encoding video sources from either port of 3G-SDI or HDMI, mixing both video sources into one output in PIP or PBP mode, or even encoding video sources into up to 1080p60 from both ports of HDMI and 3G-SDI simultaneously for high-quality live streaming.

For all IP-based video transmission processes, the E3 supports the high efficiency video codec HEVC as well as H.264. With support of HEVC, the E3 maintains video image quality with lower bitrates, saving more than 50% of your bandwidth.

For broad applications, the E3 supports a complete range of streaming protocols including NDI|HX3, NDI|HX2, SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, and TS over UDP, RTP, RTSP, and ONVIF. It can be used for live production with NDI|HX, remote production with SRT, live streaming with RTMP or HLS, or any transmission with all different protocols.

The E3 supports eight-channel embedded audio encoding of SDI inputs and four-channel embedded audio encoding of HDMI inputs, along with more functions including audio de-embedding, channel selection, alternate channel, and audio output mapping.

All inputs of the E3 can be recorded in .MOV or.MP4 through the USB ports or NAS storage.

A: The Kiloview P3 5G Bonding Video Encoder does not come with modems, and you will need to add sims for the modem cards. Q: 6. The LiveU competitor VidiU lets you broadcast directly to Youtube from its admin page at no cost provided you do not want to do bonding. Does LiveU offer something similar not requiring a service or is it straight RTMP when not provisioned with a cloud service?

Q: 7. How many cameras can it support? I use multiple cameras with a switcher for my broadcast in the field. Can it connect with that setup?

A: The LiveU Solo SDI/HDMI Video/Audio Encoder has one HDMI and SDI input. A switcher that routes multiples cameras into one program feed is supported.

Q: 8. Can this unit stream directly to YouTube by setting up the stream directly through YouTube and not go through the solo portal? Our public access station is on a budget so we would like to avoid monthly fees where we can.

A: Hi Shannon, The Solo portal is included with your purchase so there are no additional fees assocaited with the portal. The portal is used to tell the unit where you want the signal to go, so you would go to the portal first and tell the unit to send your stream to YouTube.

Q: 9. Do you have to pay the LRT subscription if you only do ethernet? What if you only do Wifi?

A: You do not. If you are going to go direct through Ethernet or WiFi you will not need that subscription plan.
