Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How much cranking extension?

A: 6 ft. both extensions extend simultaneously.

Q: 2. Can the poles be removed?

A: No, the riser sections on the Avenger Roller Stand 43 with Low Base (Chrome-plated, 14') are not removable.

Q: 3. Can I mount a tripod head on top of this?

A: Im sure it can be done with the right grip gear, but i wouldnt do it myself... no idea what you are trying to accomplish but i think a small camera stand would be the way to go, something heavier and with an arm to make handling the camera a lot easier. This is a great light and grip stand! Not a good camera stand.

Q: 4. Does this work with a Manfrotto 025BS Super boom?

A: Yes, the stand is compatible with Manfrotto 025BSL Super Boom ONLY, Black - 8.8' (2.7 m) B&H # MA025BSL MFR # 025BSL.The adapter the boom comes with works with a female 1 1/8 (Junior or a 5/8th stud)

Q: 5. How do you get the crank to raise the stand? I cannot loosen the knob opposite to the crank handle.

A: For this inquiry, please send us an e-mail to our Customer Service Department to cs@bandh.com. Thank you.

Q: 6. When using for light gear, can the legs be pulled in a bit more to say 30" footprint?

A: The wheels will only function when opened to its fullest.

Q: 7. Would you use this stand with a 20+ pound teleprompter?

A: This stand has a load rating of 26.5lbs.

Q: 8. Two reviews point to the convenience of having the extra height of this stand so that the lowest extension knob is easy to reach to rotate the set up, which I understand. Don't the wheels of a roller stand make it possible to rotate the entire unit without the need to turn an extension knob? What am I missing? I'm about to purchase my first roller stand.

A: For finite adjustment, it is advantageous not to have to move the entire stand or to try and reach an elevated fixture

Q: 9. This seems hard to roll around when the legs are closer together. Is there a trick do maneuvering this thing?

A: The Avenger Roller Stand 42 with Low Base (Chrome-plated,13.8'), like most similar rolling stands, don't have a very smooth movement--minimizing the amount of rolling necessary is a good idea, but experience makes it easier to use.

Q: 10. I need this for my Para 133 and Flooter Broncolor. Is it ok? or better will be 126csu manfrotto?

A: This stand is plenty strong for the Broncolor Para 133 or the Broncolor Flooter Fresnel.

Great Heavy duty stand, purchased 2 for use in a goal post rig and/or menace arm rig.
Only note would be that the shipping box should be heftier, it took two tries to get one of the stands with all the parts due to the box breaking open during shipping. B&H customer service was fantastic and got a replacement to me right away.

Extremely robust and well-made product. Came assembled apart from the casters which took a couple of min to lock into place. The crank is great.

Simply fantastic! A huge stand for any job you can imagine. Combine with the Mathew's Junior Boom for any overhead task. Use with complete confidence and admire it's beautiful build construction when not in use.

This is the kind of stand that takes the work out of light adjustments when you have a huge beauty dish and moonlight on a boom counterweighted and it's to heavy to lift and lower, pick up and move like I do 25 times a shoot. It gets so tiring and I hurt my shoulder so this stand has made moving and adjusting my heavy key light!

I love this thing, I tried it from a rental house in Miami and instantly needed 2, it's rock solid and a great price compared to anything else out.

This is an extremely well designed and well built light stand. I use 4 of them on location and they are great. The wide stance and weight make them virtually impervious to wind, even when cranked all the way up.

Love this stand, put boom with light modifier on it crank it up and down with my little finger. It is heavy enough I've not needed any sand bags. The wheels roll real smooth, easy on the back. Good product.

I bought this to hold my 4x6 Profoto Softbox and its amazing. The brakes are easy to use and they hold. Not only that, but it helps so much if you are running a studio by yourself and need to constantly raise and lower and super huge light. My one complaint is that I have found, if I'm not paying attention, and I go to crank the stand down and the knob is still tightened to lock it down, it will still crank down. Now I don't make it a practice of doing that, but sometimes it will. Its a little worriesome, but if you don't even tighten it down the stand stays where you cranked it to anyways.
