Q: 1. This lens seems to get rave reviews online but in this forum it's really getting trashed. Heavy, poor bokeh, hissing sounds, burns through batteries, etc. For virtually the same price I can get a 56 f/1.2 and a 55-200. Should I?

A: First, may I suggest that you discount 95% of what you read in any forum? Most of what is posted is posted either by disgruntled people, trolls, or people who have been given equipment by manufacturers. Now, to respond to this nonsense: Yes, the lens is heavy compared to other Fuji X lenses - of course it is: it's an f 2.8 equivalent of the 35mm standard 70-200, in this case 75 to 210. However, it is smaller and lighter than the comparable top of the line Nikon and Canon zooms. If you want a lighter lens, get a kit lens. If you want quality, this is the lens to get. I am principally a prime shooter, but I have a love this lens: It is fast focusing, the image stabilization is nothing short of spectacular - I can hand hold it at a 15th, and sometimes at 1/4 second, racked out to 210mm; it is sharp and contrasty, comparing in image quality to the best of the Fuji primes; it is build to last. Poor bokeh? I haven't noticed. Hissing sounds? Haven't heard them. Burns through batteries? I haven't noticed that. But, if batter consumption is an issue, turn off the IS. But who goes out shooting without extra batteries? All I can tell you is that in a week I am taking this lens to Haiti for it's third trip, and I wouldn't go without it.

Q: 2. what is the 35mm equivalent of lens with 1.4 teleconverter?

A: The FUJIFILM XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Lens with the 1.4x teleconverter is, 107mm - 319mm (35mm equivalent)

Q: 3. Can the included UV lens be used for taking shots of the sun? Like the upcoming eclipse?

A: No, the UV lens that comes with th FUJIFILM XF 200mm f/2 R LM OIS WR Lens with XF 1.4x TC F2 WR Teleconverter and UV Filter Kit cannot be used for the solar eclipse, it is only used to protect the lens from scratches and other damage. Try: https://bhpho.to/3Ef2DYv

Q: 4. Will the Fuji 2X teleconverter (which I already have with the 100-400) work with this lens?

A: Yes, the FUJIFILM XF 2x TC WR Teleconverter would be compatible for use with the FUJIFILM XF 200mm f/2 OIS WR Lens.

Q: 5. Reviewers say this lens uses excessive battery power even when OIS is turned off, so long as camera is on. What has Fuji done to minimize this consumption of battery power?

A: Unfortunately, we are unaware of this issue and if it has been addressed by Fujifilm.

Q: 6. Is this the same carrying strap included with the lens??

A: Yes. The FUJIFILM Shoulder Strap (XF 200mm f/2 R LM OIS WR) is a replacement of the original strap that shipped with the lens.

Q: 7. Fujifilm Fujinon XF 200mm f/2 OIS WR Lens With 1.4X XF TC F2 WR Teleconverter For X-Mount work on xt3

A: Yes this lens can take a Fuji X-Mount Teleconverter and it will in fact work on a Fuji X-T3

Q: 8. Any advice on arca-swiss compatible lens plates that fit this lens?

A: I use a Really Right Stuff L84 multi use plate

Q: 9. Is it fit for Fujifilm XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OIS Les?

A: The FUJIFILM Front Lens Cap for XF 50mm f/2 R WR Lens has a 46mm diameter; the Fujifilm XF18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS Lens has a 58mm diameter, so this cap won't fit it. This lens cap is compatible with the 18-55mm lens: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/818332-REG/Sensei_lc_58_58mm_Center_Pinch_Snap_On.html

Q: 10. In the photo with both images, are these lenses shown at true scale together?

A: The XF50-140mm is a bit smaller and lighter than the XF100-400mm
