Protect and add accessories to your Nikon Z8 camera when the MB-N12 battery grip is installed with this Camera Cage from SmallRig. The formfitting aluminum cage protects your camera without impeding access to your camera's functions, displays, ports, or MB-N12 battery grip door. The camera mounts on the cage via a 1/4"-20 screw, and the mounting surface features anti-slip pads that, in addition to two M2.5 screws on the sides, hold your camera securely in the cage and prevent it from twisting.

There is one integrated shoe mount on the top and one on the side, QD (Quick Detach) mounts, and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 ARRI-style accessory threads to provide convenient attachment points for articulating arms, external monitors, and other accessories. The bottom and side of the cage feature an integrated Arca-type design for portrait or landscape shooting, and the bottom of the cage features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads to connect a camera plate for tripod mounting.

Ver nice grip! I expected that since it is from Nikon. Unfortunately You spend some $$$$$$ since it is Nikon. Nikon should have designed it like the previous grips. I don't like how the door slides to the side to open up. All provisos grips were deigned better. A must have for your camera !! 5

I was going to pop for a less expensive L-bracket, but one important option was missing. This model from Kirk includes 2 QD sockets that you won't find on the bargain brackets. If that doesn't matter as much to you, then opt for something less expensive, but I find those QD clips super useful. On the other end of the cost spectrum, you could buy something like the model from RRS, but I'm not sure why you might need to. This one is so well made and ticks off all the boxes for me. 5

I often shoot large volumes of shots, as many as 5000 in a day with a combination of both my Z7ii and my D850. I thought about trading my D850 for a Z9 or another Z7ii to permit me to increase the volume with the mirrorless camera primarily because its relatively quiet compared to the D850 in burst mode. I do love the D850, so I decided that a good compromise was to increase the battery capacity of the Z7ii just to make things easier for myself when shooting the Z7ii for an extended shoot when changing batteries might make me miss an important shot. So far, I'm impressed with the neat engineering that Nikon did on the Nikon MB-Nii Battery Pack. It doesn't increase the Z7ii burst, but I no longer have battery duration anxiety. 5

These brackets always fit so well. I really really wish it was cheaper, but I imagine they are in such limited production for vertical grips compared to without. I love the quick release on the side, its a terrific added feature. 5

This is the best way to make your Z6II or Z7II more capable and close to a pro level format. Since it is a Nikon product designed for these cameras, it works flawlessly and provide additional capabilities that others may not due to compatibility issues. It isn't inexpensive, compared to the 3rd party options, but well worth the price. 5

This L-Bracket is sleek, well-designed for photographers, and well-built. QD ports on both the vertical and the horizontal parts provide carrying flexibility. There is a space for the provided Allen wrench so you can always add, remove, or tighten the L-Bracket as necessary. If you are looking for an L-Bracket that will not bulk up your camera, this is the one for you. 5
